In 2018 Luke Lysen became the first person to fly a single-engine, seven-seat Cirrus SF50 Vision Jet around the world. Lysen thought it was a great trip, but it did not include Australia. So, in 2019 he departed the U.S. in a Vision Jet and headed “down under,” delivering the first SF50 to Australia. Lysen’s adventure took him through Alaska, Russia, Japan, Taiwan, Vietnam, Singapore and Bali.
In this program, hosted by the Museum of Flight in Seattle, WA, and delivered virtually to our audience, Lysen will tell you how he’s come to expect the unexpected on long ferry flights, and his trip to Australia was no exception. The fun included “being denied entry to Russia and having to hold over the Bering Sea, dealing with a typhoon, no bathrooms in Japan, no lighting in Vietnam and airports literally on fire!”
*Due to a technical issue, the first 5 minutes of the presentation were not recorded. We join Luke as he describes entering Russia, after departing Alaska.
