One of the most unreal places in this country. Our favorite hike there is the Highline Trail ... not sure if that is one of the areas that is closed now, but it is a must do! The trail is carved out into the walls of the mountains and gives you unparalleled panoramic views of the park. Thanks for sharing this nugget with us!

Thanks for the memories. I've been to that park 4 times, each an amazing visit. One thing not many people know is that the Canadian side, Waterton National Park, and Glacier combined are called the International Peace Park. Combined, they are the only park system in the world managed as a single entity by two foreign governments.

The coolest thing about Glacier is the contrast between the West and the East sides; the East side gets soo much more rainfall that the vegetation is completely different; the contrast is soo obvious driving down either side of Logan pass.

Glacier is our favorite park. The crazy colored rocks in the streams are amazing. Definitely go back to see Many Glacier. The mountains there look like the alps. Also two medicine is beautiful and not as visited. Hike around the lake and catch the last ferry back across. The sun setting over the mountains while on the water is epic.

We saw another one the next day with the same thing (maybe it was the same goat?!). Not totally sure what they do that for since the other wildlife we saw were necklace free 🤔

My family started homeschooling last year and today we were learning about the Rocky Mountain Region. My daughter asked “What is Glacier National Park?” I said “I think it is in Montana, let’s see if A and K have been there.” Sure enough… now you all are part of our homeschool. It’s still a blast! A lot is closed (the east side + we had two trails we want to do closed due to bears), but there’s still a lot to see and do! We highly recommend starting early to avoid crowds and get easy parking 😄 Have a great time!

Finally made it out to Glacier last year near the end of July (a few weeks before you guys). Interesting note; in the 1980 movie "The Shining", the Torrence family is traveling up a mountain side in Colorado on their way to "The Overlook Hotel"...the mountain scene of them going up was actually shot on the Going to the Sun Road. Sorry you were unable to hike the trail to Hidden Lake; very beautiful. BUT, sacrilege; Glacier over Yosemite? Haha. Always a personal preference. I will say that of my top ten; the best place is the one in front of me. The only "downer" for the visit to Glacier was forgetting to strap down a precious tripod on my motorcycle near Lake McDonald....someone gained a great tripod.

We just looooove glacial lakes! Those bright blue lakes will always win for us! But before Glacier, Yosemite was probably my #1! We need to go back there and explore more. We typically have the same mentality…the best place is the one in front of us. We try to just enjoy each place that we are at and be grateful to be there!

Happy belated birthday! I love your content and one of the best parts is how in love you two are! Glacier is my fav! Every time I watch vids of it I want to cry it’s so beautiful. The next time you go, do Grinnell Glacier Trail! In 2020 the east was shut down as you know. The work they are doing, in Many Glacier, would make it a struggle to drive. Day passes aren’t hard to get. Trail of the Cedars to Avalanche Lake is amazing and an easy hike. I haven’t done the Highline Trail yet but when I go back, hopefully shuttles will be back up, it is for certain. But I might be going for backcountry.

Hmmm... you said your birthday was a week and a half earlier so I'm guessing August 5th or 6th. SO, happy BELATED 28th birthday and happy EARLY 29th birthday! IMHO Yarnell's Real Vanilla can't be beaten. I have 2 things left on my bucket list; 1) A cruise to Alaska, and 2) The Going To The Sun road. Anytime I watch anyone's videos of GLACIER I get so full of Wanderlust I want to just walk out the door and head west. Two BIG Thumbs Up!

We have been to Glacier twice pre covid.Beautiful ! A lady at Logan pass was walking the parking lot when we left. She asked if we were leaving and could they have our parking spot. I said it was ok by me. She stood and held the spot while her husband brought their truck.

I've only been to 10 national parks so far but Glacier is on the top of my list so far. We're going to the 3 national parks and the enchantments in Washington soon.
