AEG 18V Fusion Reciprocating Saw & BL Jigsaw review [2021]

oztooltalk take a look at a pair of AEG 18V tools.
Having been previously pleased with Fusion and BL products from AEG (especially their grinders and SDS drill), we're excited to see what these have to offer.
The Fusion reciprocating saw (BUS18B) has the following specifications:
- 3,100 SPM cutting speed
- 28.5mm stroke length
- Orbital Cutting action
- Adjustable shoe
- Metal rafter/ ladder hook
- 3.0 kg weight
The brushless jigsaw (BST18BX) has the following specifications:
- 3,500SPM Cutting Speed
- Lock On Switch With Variable Speed Dial
- 3 Stage Pendulum Setting
- Auto Line Start mode
- Tool-Free Bevel Adjustment
- LED Sight Light With Line Blower Function
- 2.0 kg

I have slowly locked myself in to the AEG 18v range now... * Both Brad Nailers * Circular saw * Drill & Impact Driver * Line Trimer * Hedge Trimmer * Jigsaw * Trim Router and have not had a issue with any of their tools, now looking at the hand planer...

The drills have awful chucks, that’s my only criticism.

2:22 You are burning because the chips are not evacuating. Have to pull away with there shoe to clear chips especially on such a big pice .

I couldn't see any smoke in the video, did you? yes its always going to be hard to clear chips on a 100mm piece with a stroke length of 28mm. I don't really think that sawing the unit back away from the piece will help much? It will definitely make the whole thing vibrate way more though! I think the rocking (which decreases the cut length to maybe ~60mm does a much better job. You don't agree I guess?

Ridgid got the rights to make AEG tools in the US... pretty sure they are the same tool bar the branding badge.

force batteries are AEG's best. no such thing as a Fusion battery
