Range testing confirmed that ejection was very positive and it's been working well.

Thank you so much for this. I don't have issues with my AR9 but if I do I know you are the answer

Great and informative vid! Never knew the epc9 lower had an aftermarket lol.

Good folks trying to fix the problems. IMHO Aero dropped the ball in many ways with their EPC.

U definitely need to make video annealing a Colt style ejector. I snapped mine recently and I'm currently waiting for my replacement in the mail from Spikes. If you don't get to it in time I can make the video and I'll link it in the reddit group.

I know, I know! I'm working on it. I should be getting one soon.

Now if the mag sits higher, how will it prevent over insertion of the magazine. I’m using a toolcraft bolt with a ballistic advantage barrel (no issues with endo mags after 4,000+ rounds) and just switched to an EPC-9 Lower. Probably a mistake. Anyways. The bottom of the bolt is hitting the back of the follower of the magazine when I push the mag all the way up as high as it can go. But the ejector needs to go up to mate with the bolt. If i move the ejector up, won’t it move the magazine up as well, causing the bolt to catch on the back of the follower like it does when I manually push the magazine up? Or will the mag “fall” into place once I insert it.

Is there a benefit to the mag sitting higher in the lower? Mainly with the newer style Epc barrel or a Macon barrel.

Some builds have trouble feeding even with the enhanced feed cone. The macon armory helps correct the feeding issue by raising the mag and aligning the top cartridge better with the chamber.

Have you ever tried to use the maxim defense bearing delayed buffer with the CMMG radial delayed BCG? I’m wondering if they would work together and if so, would they soften the blowback even more?

Probably gonna be too much.

@@RockOfAgesCFM C3 junkie seems to have success using the kybshot 5007 buffer with a tubbs flat wire spring. That’s probably the set up. I cannot speak from personal experience, but I’ll go with when I get around to building a AR9. As for the maxim bearing delayed buffer, it just doesn’t seem worth the squeeze to me given the price. I think there are better ways to achieve that goal.

Surprisingly mine sits a little further than your diagram shows. But I haven't had a failure to feed. Failure to eject if that starts to happen then I'm going to get that ejector.
@Blowback93 ай бұрын
The ejector can be surprisingly far out of alignment and still eject "enough". It's a very forgiving platform. I always adjust the ejector so the tip is nestled in the corner of the bolt groove for maximum contact, and I almost never have ejection failures now.

@@Blowback9 I built my whole AR9 based off of your write-up and it went phenomenally smooth and I was surprised how well it ran. Thanks again
