Aero Precision SOLUS Ep. 5 - 6.5 PRC and Final Thoughts

Great video. I wanted this rifle, stumbled upon this series, you convinced me, picked up the Solus in 6 Creed, and I could not be more happy. My first bolt gun and start to my “long range” journey. Gun shot .6 MOA off a 10 shot group by the gun’s 20th round with Hornaday 108gr ELDMs and I’ve gotten it to 800 so far. Looking forward to getting it out further and learning and taking some classes. Thank you for your videos. Very education and actually entertaining. Props to you for being able to strike a balance between the two.

that paintjob is more 6GT, but i suppose it goes both ways. 6.5prc is next on my list to try out, but was waiting for good brass to be more steadily avail. So once my 6.5c barrel is toast ill replace it with that, as seems like there isnt much to not like about it. Maybe i missed it buy what powder did you settle on? Good shootin. Captain Price would be proud

Thank you for the vid, great shooting! Looks like I can get a Solus barreled action in 6,5PRC here in Germany and I'm very interested in it. I know one customer was complaining about it failing to eject unfired rounds because the ejection was allegedly too small. Please let me know if you experienced such a problem and if yes what length of the cartridge was causing it. Any advice on that issue appreciated. Thank you very much!

Great video with awesome shooting and perfect audio! One question, what spotting scope was your spotter using? I was very impressed by the fact he could see those fine details past 2,222 yds.

2795fps seems a little slow for a PRC. Impressive you were able to get on target at 2222. What’s the barrel length on that Proof?

I don’t really get having premium everything like he has here: optic, mount, suppressor, bipod, barrel and NOT having a premium action/gun itself. so- AI to me fits the part better

@ having premium gear allows me to better review the rifle itself without the concern of other budget items attached to it causing false impressions on the rifle i.e. a budget scope not holding zero but appearing to make the rifle group poorly.

When the reticle is 12 MRAD wide (6 MRAD each side left and right of reticle center) at 785 yards, what is the magnification level?

@@philwalter1058 its way more than that, its just for framing of the video. You dont see everything i see. Normally i shoot between 12-15x on average. Sometimes less
