When I came across this video, I remembered Shenpai as an annoying, frustrating KZbinr who every time I watched her content, I would find myself bursting into a fit of rage and wanting to commit a murder. Though I didn't really remember why I hated her so strongly. As I pondered the option of the "Don't recommend this channel" button, I thought "Hey, y'know what... it's The Stanley Parable. It's pretty hard to make bad Stanley Parable content" so I clicked on it and thought I'd stick around to watch one last video. To my horror, I was somehow subscribed to the channel. But as I watched, not only did I find myself ashamedly laughing at a couple of her jokes, but I realized I had been looking at things all wrong. Shenpai is not an annoying, crass, stupid human being with absolutely no value. She's a content creator. And while those things may look the same, they are not. Thanks to this venture, I have come to realize the error of my ways. After all, how can we really be so different when we both have such an intense love for broom closets? My sense of identity now shaken, I've accepted that the real annoying, crass, stupid human being was me all along, and I simply saw myself in Shenpai. And honestly, that's a pretty good reason not to like her. But now I do, so I'm not sure what to make of that. Maybe Patreon would help to clear my head.

This is the story of a woman named Shenpai. Shenpai works from her home as a content creator and artist. Her days consists of drawing digital art pieces, recording videos, livestreaming videogames all the while dealing with obscure and arcane broadcast platforms policies, negative feedback and annoying chatters. It seems like a stressfull life to live up to everyones expectation, but shenpai was happy. One day something peculiar happenned, she woke up in the body of stanley and began to live his story. Once she got used to her role, she stepped out of the office.
