I actually bought one for my wife a couple of months ago then bought one for myself. I do love the bike, but have had problem with my control unit. Their customer service is extremely slow to respond, about a week before I received a response. Now going through the song and dance to get the issue resolved. They are a great bike for the price!!! but you are correct they come with nothing. We added fenders and back rack. I actually bought the correct kickstand off amazon and a nice comfy seat for my wider butt. Enjoy your new bike.

I feel so bad for you since you ran into a series of bad luck, however, you seem to be bouncing back fairly well. We've been camping in RV's since 1984 and have only had one problem with theft . Although it was only fishing rods it still makes one feel violated and makes you change your way of thinking and way of life. Well, happy camping and good luck from now on. Remember the old saying, "god helps those who help themselves."

Hi Daniel, the worse part of the theft is how it has affected my trust in our fellow man/woman. I know it's just material goods but I was raised to respect other people's property and the thought of stealing something from someone would never even cross my mind. It's a different world than I grew up in... Thanks for watching and for your comment. P.

@@LizAmazing I understand fully. I sometime follow the Nomadic Fanatic and I saw where he had his Traxxas Maxis stolen right from under his coach. Rad bikes just opened up a brick and mortar in San Diego recently. I’ve been watching and trying to decide which bike I wanted, and when they had the hundred dollar discount I jumped on it. I concur, great bike. Ended up buying two. Was initially looking at the rad rover, which is a fat tire bike, but as mentioned these are much lighter. Other than the discount, the main reason I purchased them was the fact that there was a local Rad dealer here that just sells Rad bikes, So I don’t have to rely on sending emails if there are any problems. On a sidenote, they had plenty of bikes in the shop and it came with a free kickstand.

Sorry to here about the theft of your Ebikes but I used that information as incentive and purchased a set of locks for our newly purchased Rad mini 4 and a Rad Step Thru. One of the concerns I had was when we use them while on camping trips. Right now the Ebikes are a popular item and unfortunately a target , even at a campground. Hopefully it is a deterrence . On the other hand the fun factor is high. Before this my wife and I were occasional riders, probably because life was full. Being retired and enjoying camping , this has add another dimension to our outdoor experience. Do you cover your bikes while locked and not in use?

Juiced tried working with bike shops in the beginning and time and time again owners told them to raise the MSRP to at least $3000. That's certainly an argument for buying online!

The RadMission high-step has a 28" standover height which I think would be a problem for you, Brenda. We recommend the Lectric XP 2.0 for your husband and the Step-Thru 2.0 for you. Lectric is working on getting their sizing chart online. We have a contact there who says they fit from 5' to 6'3, with their 6'6" showroom manager saying his is pretty comfortable on the bike. Happy riding to you both!

That's s good review! I love the looks of that bike!! Color is awesome! Could you raise the seat any more? Liz's legs looked like they couldn't straighten on extension. I'm short so it wouldn't be an issue bug that looked uncomfortable. It doesn't compare to my Lectric though. I love everything about my ebike (well, except for the weight!!).
@LizAmazing3 жыл бұрын
Yes, the bike seat could definitely go higher than shown while I was riding it. I lowered the seat to feel more safe bc during that same ride I have one hand off the bars so I can record Paul riding. I need to be able to put my feet down fast if I start to lose my balance. That's awesome that you noticed that! The part where Paul and I are standing with the bikes, I am astride mine. You can see it's higher. And thanks for watching! We've heard good things about Lectric, but yes they are heavy! We do love how nimble and fun these lightweight RadMissions are, we need to go for a bike ride someday!

😂I noticed because I can't ride without stretching my legs to straighten my knees. I figured you two avid bicyclists would do thd same but yes, I get that having to stand down - I have to jump off the seat to stand flat! Yes! I hope one day we can go for a ride! Sorry to hear this. Paul and I both have Juiced bikes. The Rad's are good for an entry level ebike for someone looking for something more affordable. But like we say in the video, if you are riding 30-40 miles at a time, you may not like the RadMission. Paul and I do ride 30-40 miles each time and we LOVE our Juiced. Those bikes are in such demand I am sure you can sell it for close to what you paid for it. And sorry it didn't work out for you.
@mcooper59293 жыл бұрын
@@LizAmazing Really like the range of the Juiced and the speed! But, the handle bars ride , and weight and the seat and suspension need definite improvement. Have spent some money upgrading those parts. But, still a fan of you both.🚴🚴♀️

@@mcooper5929 I bought the $250 bouncy seat Juiced sells, while pricey I really like it. Do you have the CCX? Let me know what you did to upgrade the front suspension bc I'd like to do the same! Hi Peg! I was thinking of you when we made this video. The RadMission is PERFECT for van life! And, yes, we believe those signs were made before ebikes became a thing and thus refer to gas powered motors. We ride on bike trails all the time and see other ebikers do the same.

I hope your bike comes in perfect or you never need customer service. We bought a Rad power bike last year and it took over half a year to get the refund. Their customer service is based on the tag system. You send them an email, wait 2-3 days for a response, answer that email and wait another 2-3 days. And so on. Expect 2-3 weeks for anything to happen. After 3 months of a non working bike, I started to try to get my refund. Took the same time to finally get the bike returned and full amount credited. I’m glad you guys like your bike but Rad wouldn’t be something I’d want to be partners with. Sorry to be a downer but they definitely left a major sour taste in my mouth for an ebike company. 😖
@LizAmazing3 жыл бұрын
Sorry to hear this, Bill. In all fairness, every ebike company experienced major growing pains last year with a 700% increase in sales. We heard the same thing about slow customer service from other ebike companies as they raced to hire more people to deal with the onslaught. All we can say is that we is that we've had a good experience with RadPower and they seem to back up what they sell. Several RAD customers have commented that they have had a good experience and love their bikes. Thanks for your comment and hope that you found a good ebike that you are happy with!

@patd4u23 жыл бұрын
OK entry level E bike, don't compare to the ones you had though. Once you ride the good e-bikes with hydraulic brakes and higher end chain sets these entry level bikes are hard to go back to. Plus no suspension. I have had 3 rad power bikes. I sold two of them and kept the folding mini. After riding a friends higher end e-bike with hydraulic brakes and suspension you realize how entry level these bikes really are.
@LizAmazing3 жыл бұрын
Exactly. If you are a serious rider or like to go far, the RadMission is not for you, and we say that in the video. That being said, we miss having those bikes. We used them all the time when in campgrounds or for short trips out and about. We would have kept them if we had room for them. They are SO lightweight they are nimble and fun to ride!
@patd4u23 жыл бұрын
@@LizAmazing That is what I use my mini for, just riding around the campsite on smooth dirt roads or the asphalt. Taking them on anything other than that is a really tiring experience with the cheap front forks and no rear suspension. With the cable operated front and rear brakes it's getting extremely hard for me to stop. You really have to pull on those hand levers to get the bike to stop. And with arthritis in my fingers it's very painful to do that. Hydraulic brakes are so much nicer.
@LizAmazing3 жыл бұрын
@@patd4u2 That's good to know. Paul and I noticed no difference in the braking between the RadMission and our high-end bikes. The RadMission brakes are very efficient. Must be because of the weight and speed of the RadMission.

I’m afraid I’d be too scared to ride on local streets in the area, so not sure if it’s worth it to buy one. Liz, I saw your comment that you were in a bad bike accident years ago. How did you overcome your fear to keep riding? Drivers can be crazy and often there are no shoulders to ride on.
@LizAmazing3 жыл бұрын
Hi Go, This is Paul and vehicle traffic does take some getting used to but in all of my years of cycling I've only had one serious accident and one not so serious accident and in both instances there wasn't a car within 1/2 of me. On the worst of the two I was cutting through Angle Stadium Parking lot on a day when there was no game and hit a cable stretched between a couple concrete barriers "k rails" that I didn't see until it was too late. I flew over the handlebar and landed in a heap on the pavement, where I was scooped up by paramedics and taken to the ER. I spent the next 4 days in ICU because of 5 broken ribs, a collapsed lung, a broken clavicle and a cracked vertibrae. I was back on the bike 6 weeks later. The accident that Liz had was also on an off-road trail and she too went over the bar and did a faceplate into some gravel, the fall broke her nose and she and I were picking gravel out of her arms for more than a day. These stories are not meant to scare you, but rather to demonstrate that vehicle traffic, while dangerous, has never been an issue for either of us. Now, all that said, I have known people who have tangled with cars before but in every cases I'm personally aware of the cyclist was doing something he/she shouldn't have been doing. Hope all this help you in deciding if cycling is for you. One last thing, if you do get a bike you will want to to get a good quality helmet to go with it. Had I not been wearing mine on the day of my accident I wouldn't be here today. P. Oh, and Thanks for the Sub!
