Russia, China and North Korea has no imperialist or colonial motive why they are in Africa. The Chinese track record in country's where they are present has a positive economic outlook. The infrastructure and roads networks already underway is alarming; e.g the 9,000 miles Cape town/Cairo highway is completed. Without Russia, the independence struggle would have been delayed by two decades. They provided scholarships, arms and training for almost all freedom fighters on our continent. Both Russia and China were not at the Berlin conference table when our continent was subdivided by the western rogues.

Another fund will also be needed to provide food and medical aid while the dams are being built. Most likely, funding for medical aid will still be needed, so donation to that can continue until further notice. The IMF is an insurance policy. It does not invite itself. You GO to the IMF when you are in financial trouble. The conditions they impose are a structural adjustment program to remove yourself from the debt hole you are in. If you have a budget deficit, it means you have to reduce it by cutting spending and raising taxes since you shouldn't borrow more. It's called fiscal consolidation. Fiscal consolidation is painful but it really depends on where you are financially. The Kenyan situation is not as bad as Ghana's and this structural adjustment will help us not to default. Kenya had a structural adjustment programme in the 1990s and it was painful. We managed to get out of that one and we WILL get out of this one.

The cost of energy i.e electricity and fuel in Kenya is three times more expensive than South East Asian countries yet we all import the same products. South East Asian countries stoped dealing with IMF and World bank decades ago.
