As a South African I truly appreciate ur coverage of my country when others (including our own on this network) r more focused on stories that push the narrative that we South Africans hate other Africans when we've been THE MOST WELCOMING country on the continent 2 other Africans since 1994. No other African country has a larger number of foreign African nationals than us. Today when we acknowledge that our kindness has lead to our exploitation by ppl who look like us (which hurts the most cos we not surprised by the anti-black actions of other races) we r gaslit bein called xenophobic n how we should ignore all the destruction by our so-called brothers n sisters because "white ppl this, white ppl that". I'm tired of ppl usin blackness to deflect from their actions cos maybe deep down they wish our country were in the same state as theirs. 2 things can be true at the same time. White supremacy is a threat 2 us but so r all the "brothers n sisters" bringing problems n, in some cases death n destruction to our country. Question remains, if our country is sooo bad n hateful why r they still dyin 2 come here in droves n willing to subvert our laws in order to gain from benefits in SA they don't get in their own countries? After 60+years of independence n failure by other countries our young country MUST somehow bare the burdens of the whole continent? African unity n pan-africanism WILL NEVER WORK for as long as there's no self-accountability n no willingness to remain home to fix the problems at home like most of us SAfricans r doin.

$300 billion till year 2035 shared with so many countries, it is like a drop in a bucket. Western countries MUST stop carbon tax on poor/developing countries, must stop these double standards, either let the developing countries to build/use coal plants and or built/use fossil fuel today to develop their economies similar to how western countries did after World War 2. Or fund these developing countries to build green alternatives such as wind and solar energy for economic developments with loans. Developed countries achievement are due to industrial revolution after World War 2. During this time developed countries used cheap/inexpensive burning sticks, dung, manure, tires, wires, coal and fossil fuel - oil and gas to built economies which resulted in climate crisis today with carbon emissions. Now that they built their economies, they are telling other countries today to reduce or stop using coal and fossil fuel - oil and gas for their development and instead use green energy like wind and solar or else face cross border carbon tax. This hinders the growth of developing countries. When you look at per capita carbon emissions, country like USA has 12%, China has 32% (but remember that US is the biggest buyer of Chinese goods so might as well say that it US emission) and India has a 6% footprint despite India having 17% global population. India is the ONLY country that is delivering beyond what was committed under Paris accord. Western countries are still contributing more to climate change than India. Despite this, the western countries are telling poor/developing countries to reduce carbon emissions for economic developments. This double standards must be eliminated.
