i HATE the big titles of each episode , and those images are so cheesy ! having watched the first episode since it first came out and catch up with a few more the last 2 days . as always i loved the contents of each videos, this episode is mind blowing good as it’s SO REAL , for those who has been to see the LIVE tour , which i did in Liverpool and a complimentary one in Manchester , you would absolutely appreciate the journey you took us in and seeing the initial struggles to perfected it at the later shows, it’s those small details that get us HOOKED on keep watching the VLOG. dare i say care less about the total views for now but focus on the quality of the video content . and Steve , honestly you are incredibly Talented and Hard Working, do take time to look after yourself 🫶🏻 , WILL i subscribe? yes i WILL !

Really like the unfiltered authenticity on this one. It actually makes you want to keep watching! The new editor is doing their thing too I can see ;)) Music choice, shot selection, shot quality good and "bad", along with the story arch really made for a very entertaining watch. Great job to the team, I've been watching these from the very first one and I think this is the best one yet! :)))

I felt the nerves before the first show, you’ve showed your human and how you pushed through the tiredness, exhaustion and fear. You are changing lives and clearly so loved. You’ve pushed yourself hard and it has its benefits but you Taught me something about over commuting which I do a lot. My mum said to say ‘well done! Loving the variety of these videos - it's so insightful to see the "whole" you e.g. how you are preparing weeks out, how you are getting in the zone moments before a huge talk, how to debrief and deal with the aftermath. I know there are things I can implement based on this - I also need that "in the zone" dedicated space/time to do super creative writing, with literally no temptations or distractions.

It's been 10,000 minutes since my last comment and there are 2 things. 1 - you did a contest last week about the lock screen on your phone, what the hell Steven, we need a winner, you cannot leave us hanging like this and second it absolutely inspires, scares, amazes me your approach to your tour. My mind works in a way that I would figure out if i have something meaningful to say, I would write it out and then test it on small groups and if it works I would then book a tour. Your absolutely mental approach is to book a tour then less than 2 weeks beforehand, figure out what to say. It is equal measures inspirational and scary! It is great to see your approach to how you deal with your workloads and how much of an amazing team you have around you and how much you clearly and genuinely appreciate them. My final thought on the 10k comment is you seem to write a strangely high amount whilst lying on your stomach, just an observation. Keep up the great work, loving the show as always!

Thank you for sharing another great episode! I think that big tasks can seem quite daunting sometimes (because of how much time and work they tend to need), but when you break it down into smaller and more manageable tasks, then they become more easier to do. I find that taking baby steps is the best approach to take in these situations. Thank you for your honesty & great advice ❤

That Nir Eyal episode is amazing - it dropped at a time where I felt myself dropping away from my academic goals. Part of the reason why I think this podcast and this BTDoac channel is so frequent in my life is because it provides a reliable perspective on stress and the importance of motivation. We all have capabilities to tackle distractions yet so many of us seem to rely on excuses instead of on solutions. I’m glad and thankful to everyone behind the podcast and the BTD vlogs for their existence ❤️ Although I don’t relate to everything it’s great to be informed on other peoples perspectives and draw your own opinions + lessons.

That idea, or fear, that we don’t want to stop beating ourselves up because we worry that’s what makes us do great things is powerful. Many musicians and artists have that who think if they stop being depressed, stop using drugs, etc that their great music and art will stop. I think that stuff might drive you short term but it’s not sustainable to do that for many years without completely plummeting.

Always love these episodes. I fully agree with your idea on trade offs in this episode, however I've always thought of it as "balance" rather than sacrificing. A trade off feels like you've lost out. But balancing scales is a healthier mindset to strive for. I was also at your Liverpool show last week and thought it was great. But since you asked what's good and what's shit I'll do my best! The good: I could visibly see how each topic affected the people around me. From note taking about base camp, to 2 people in front of me crying and hugging during the last topic. Very emotional and full of stories and details that really get people reacting and thinking. Personally I was able to take a lot straight back to work. From how to consider delegation, to filling the skills buckets and even brand Vs product conversations. The ideas generated during your talk made me wish I could pause it (I would probably purchase the digital version!). Lastly, I really thought I would only get some small takeaways as I've read both your books multiple times and watched/listened to most podcasts and this channel too. But I got a hell of a lot and really enjoyed it. The bad: The background music during you talking was a little distracting, maybe a little too loud. But I feel like certain parts would have been more focused on you and your words than the inspiration style music. The music stopping at the right moments will cause more focus and make it more dramatic I had nothing physical to take away. The ticket was digital and if I had the time to wait I may have purchased some merch. But maybe even a booklet of the mountain topics and the points within them. Would have been a great way to jog my memory weeks or more later with ideas I could bring to work and life. But also for during the show. Like when the breaks will be and if there's a topic I really want to take notes on. Ideas to add: Would have been great to be able to tweet a question. Even if it was before the show so it could be used in your talk. I really liked how you linked parts of your talk to people you met. And it made me think about how to make it more specific. Like a question on the screen asked before the show that your points will directly help. Thanks for reading if you got thos far!

Steven, i'm 29, built a small 100k a year business from scratch starting at 13, now scaling and aiming to 10x in a year and £1bn valuation in 10 years. It has been the loneliest 10 years imaginable trying to break my way in to an industry that did not want to change but i've done it. How do young people like myself network with others in on the same journey? I can't do another 10 years of this alone.

Watching this episode after attending the Live Lecture was very interesting. I flew from Iceland to Manchester for less than a day to attend the show. It was disappointing but also a valuable learning experience. The cons: 1. I expected a show similar to what Steven did in 2021 (before I started following him). I love seeing artists create something new, and knowing Steven as a great artist, I expected something mind-blowing at Apollo. My bad, too high of expectations. 2. For us who follow the podcast and have read Steven's books, the lecture was a reiteration of what has already been out there. Packaged in a structured way, yes. But still very similar to what we have already heard. The pros/learnings: 1. Massive learning from the episode is about selling first, creating later. I have heard it so many times but keep falling short on this tip. Steven shows how that is done. Sure, what we see is a lot of stress and pressure, but as he explains in the next episode, this is stress that is meaningful to and chosen by him. 2. I saw friends, couples, and families coming together to a show. Can imagine how beautiful of an experience that can be - to introduce Steven's insights to a dear one, in an in-person experience. Saw two women bringing their mom to the show. Damn, I would have brought my mom to listen to the lecture if she understood English! 3. Steven is fantastic at conversations. I think having that on the stage would be so much more valuable! Either getting someone on his team/a friend to interview him on stage or weaving more of the audience's questions into the speech. 4. This tour showed me how one can repackage what they have already created. While this reiteration was disappointing to me, I can totally see how this can bring value in terms of new audience etc. 5. It is precious to see how the team works on the tour, how they focus, support each other, discuss results when they are not the best. Appreciate the honesty of this episode. Curious: what is the goal with the tour? It is solely what Steve mentions - getting in touch with the audience in the meet-and-greet?

Thanks for the information. It was helpful. I am conflicted what this cuts and cuts and cuts could teach me? Where is the information promised in the title? Similar with movies. Some people enjoy the behind the scene footage whereas some people only want to see the magic of the movie. That is the question I got when I started the video and stopped suddenly.I don't like to waste my time. Do we really need this additional information? Or is it keeping us away from important things? At the end of the day, it is always our attention that is the commodity and you can feel it more and more that more and more sophisticated methods are being used to get our attention.

Great to see the real, unfiltered reactions to your talk. It was slightly a shame that I felt like I'd seen most of the first 10 minutes of the episode footage from a previous vlog, but I understand giving people context. Giving a scripted talk is so different to being interviewed, well done for going out there & getting it done. I hope you'll put up some of the best bits from those talks in future vlogs for those who couldn't make it live. 😊

I'm currently in a similar predicament, I have to write a speech for a glamping conference that I'm speaking at in Prague - its in 2 weeks time and I haven't started, I've no idea why! But I'm going to do what you said and chunk it up into manageable pieces and not overthink it! Thanks so much for the vlogs, I look forward to them every week

This was such a motivational behind the dairy I really felt like pushing after this one, what do you think about tackling certain problems that we might be going through in each behind the dairy for e.g. How you plan your dairy, it would be nice to know what goes behind your schedule how you divide tasks and insure you give 100% of yourself in each. Thanks Steve you slowly changing the world slowly 😂

@@DOACBehindTheDiaryit also reminded me of a time when I had to present on stage at a business conference, the build up of anxiety beforehand can be worse than when you’re actually out there. Your hard work, dedication and commitment definitely shone through. Best of luck on the Aus, NZ and Dubai shows, go and smash it 👊

Yes, keep squatting in those tight jeans Steve! But seriously, this whole thing was so moving. From the self reflections and how tired you actually looked to the nerve wracking build up and after. Regardless of what might need tweaking, giving talks is incredibly tough, the whole thing relies on you, the pressure must be crazy. Super impressive and you & the team should be so proud of yourselves :)

great episode! love to see the struggle! It's really nice to see, that you want to know what you could have done better. It's the learning mindset. I was wandering what feedback you got there at the end, and what did the letter say? Nice edit, at the end of the episode it got a bit incoherent.

Blimey! This sums me up perfectly. On a daily basis I delay tasks or just avoid doing them. I didn’t know there was a word for this though. Procrastination.

Wow. Okay. This episode tho This episode tho😭 Another great episode, i think this is my new favorite episode. From the moment of the car scene where you are talking about how hard you are on yourself and from the moment of you writing your show in your bed and that moment after the show where you spoke to your team. The level of humanity in those clips is unmatched, I saw the child Steven from Social Chain again and I can say it's refreshing to see. Editing is becoming too good. Almost movie level production, especially how we have fast pase and slow pase motions shots. Finally, these episodes have depth because you are not showing us the small bits of everything but the details of one thing. If every episode you tackle just one thing like that, by the end of the year, we would have priceless life lessons. Byeiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii, I'm going to watch this again 😂

This editing and production value is insane. The audio design, shooting, editing, vfx and colour is all on point. Super well done!! As a self taught un-educated entrepreneur, we as a business are having a certain amount of success around the world. Not even a 1/1000th of the success you Steve and the team are having. 06:44 But my biggest struggles are EXACTLY these and at the stage I am at with our growth as a business and my personal growth it are these struggles that I constantly struggle with. It is so refreshing to know you at your level and stage of your career have the same challenges and gives me to drive to know that I need to just keep pushing forward with our strategy and believe in my vision. Keep these going, thank you. 🙏🏼

I love all your content, podcasts and YT, both DOAC and BTD. I love how raw it is. I love the energy you bring to everything you do. I love hearing your perspective on complicated topics. I love the insightful questions you ask your guests and the vulnerability you show to create a mutual bond and trust. I love that I get so much from listening to your work. But the "trying to get the Dubliners out of the bar" opening comment was beneath you. You have more class than that. A sensitive Dubliner 😉😅

Glad to see you becoming aware of scheduling in down time/space/personal time, life's too short to be exhausted most of the time. Fine for short periods but not long term. I bet you find once you give yourself more space & time around projects/tasks you will find so much more creativity/solutions to things ❤

So glad to hear No will be part of your vocabulary Steve and that you'll re-centre around the first principle of prioritizing health. Your schedule is at a superhuman level. Not a good look for the Whoop brand if you crash due to dismissing the data. You need an assistant, a C.H.O., or chief health officer, to manage your workflow according to your Whoop reading, or throw it away. lol What would every business look like if health was truly prioritized - what would the outcomes be, and how would we be with each other? , Stay healthy and stay balanced the world needs your voice. Love your realness. Mike. Tasmania
