I'm in HR and I always talk about the decay of community and how work has to do more to support employees, which means that we need to do a much better job of ensuring managers are being trained to support, engage and motivate employees. Studies are showing how important good, consistent, thoughtful leadership training and coaching can not only improve a company's bottom line but will also improve a sense of community and belonging among all employees, something we crave and need as other parts decay.
