The 18 yo would have been tried as an adult in the USA, NOT as a juvenile. And the 17 yo COULD have been tried as an adult too, if the courts wanted to. Usually they would have been charged as adults for the crime of murder.

reminds me of a story from reddit. same situation but was told on the other side of the coin. woman meets a girl who told her she is her daughter. op was very skepticle as she had only been pregnant twice. Both were stillbirths. turns out her husband didnt want kids. thought first time was a sign but when 2nd baby was born healthy. he sold the baby to be adopted by a couple who had a stillborn. op was made to believe baby died during birth. the husband did it through bribing nurse and convinced the grieving parents by telling them the baby's mom died in child birth and he couldnt raise a baby alone. so he heard they had a stillbirth and let them adopt forgot how the daughter (years later) found out the truth her mom was alive. lets say husband and nurse were arrested. I think adoptive parents didnt get punished as they were lied to as well. though adoption went speedy

the problem with the story is. One of the teens was 18. He'd been tried as an adult. they other being 17 and doing a serious crime wouldve been as well. its not unheard of minors facing adult charges if they are old enough and crime is serious such as murder
@catherine-eggallergyinmd
@catherine-eggallergyinmd Жыл бұрын
I think it varies from state to state but for murder charges a lot of U.S. states will try you as an adult at 14-16, some as young as 10. But anyone under 18 cannot be executed for their crimes. The best example that pops up for me would be the Beltway/D.C/Tri-State Sniper shootings back in 2002. They executed the older man but the 17 year old got several life sentences without parole.

@@catherine-eggallergyinmd i dont agree with kids being put in adult prisons. but depending on age, heard theyll serve x time in juvie and then when they turn 18 they get transfered to an adult prison...depending on the crime. but considering they stabbed a man for his watch and car. Im sure max

What country are they in...in The States if you sign the birth certificate LEGALLY you're the parent and unless stated otherwise in a will your, legal, children can inherit your possessions after passing...if your spouse is still alive unless stated in a will, they are in control of your possessions... And unless they illegally paid for a baby with phoney birth certificate, I'm not buying the adoption story...

This one was so sad.😢 Her husband loved OP so much that he didn't want her to suffer the lost of their child by adopting another baby to take the place of their baby who passed away. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not condoning what he did. He should have told OP and as long as she had him by her side, she could've grieved their son along with him and gotten through it. And then after a few months recommend adoption to OP. How much love he had to have for OP to adopt a child just to keep her from grieving and probably have a mental breakdown since she couldn't have anymore,kids. Living with his lie for so many years had to have taken a toll on OP's husband. I dont know? I'm mad at OP's husband but, then i can some what understand what he did and sympathize with him too. As for OP's MIL that b*tch was nothing but a greedy entitled and selfish AH! I'm so glad shes suffering in the hell she created everyday after OP took everything from her!

I feel for both the kids but none of the adults including OP. They are all awful people. Oh my husbands family hates me and I don’t know why…you’re the other woman of course they aren’t going to like you. Then she has an accountability issue, it’s everyone else’s fault she lied to her son about being sick and his father’s paternity secret coming out. Tilda allowed anger and bitterness to let her lie about abuse and commit parental alienation. The MIL and her daughter are on a whole other level. OPs husband is a freaking coward and a liar. He had no right to force his wife to raise another child without her consent.

Anyone watch that show Desperate Housewives? The adoption story reminded me of a storyline from the show. The character Katherine Mayfair had a daughter named Dylan who died as a small child. So she finds this girl at a Romanian orphanage who has an uncanny resemblance to Dylan, and adopts her, raising her as Dylan for the next, well at least decade.

If a person wassupposed to be a twin and the twin was lost in utero it tends to get absorbed by the other child. That child could have different blood and DNA in its silva, sperm and other such things
@cheapbastard990
@cheapbastard990 Жыл бұрын
No, if it dies in utero, it is not absorbed. However sometimes two fertilized eggs that would become twins fuse before forming separate placentas and end up developing into one person. That would be a "chimera". It's extremely rare but it does happen. The person ends up with different parts of his or her body having different sets of DNA. There was a criminal case a few years ago where a woman was charged with stealing a baby because her child's DNA test showed she couldn't be the mother. Oddly enough she was pregnant and the cops were there observing her give birth to the new baby and the test showed she couldn't be the mother of that one either. Extensive testing of her found her to be a chimera. I have asked many fundies if she has two souls but never got an answer. :)
