We don't normally repair black water but our guys were troopers and have gotten it cleaned with lots of bleach and dawn dish soap. Plus it gave us an opportunity to spray down the engine room so we could get to work on the thru-hulls.

I feel for the Searay owner. I have a new to me 25yr old Sealine boat I bought a few months ago. I've replaced almost every black water and fresh water hose because of noticeable cracking, replaced a leaking fuel tank, replaced zincs, replaced propellers that had galvanic corrosion, replaced trim tab motors that had corroded. This week, replacing canvas as it is brittle and tearing. Probably generator repairs next on the list. They are a labor of love at that age!
