Alireza’s opening and strategic prowess truly shined. The game was very intense, especially with Wesley’s positional struggles. Alireza's victory here cements his brilliance.
@ofer12616 ай бұрын
I think Wesley didn't take on d6 because after Qxd6 Qxc3 Bd2 it's quite unclear where the queen can go. There is an escape route through c2 to a4 , but you have to check in some quite in-between moves from white, snd white gets a lot of development which might be quite dangerous with the bishop being centralized on the diagonals against the king. It's not that clear.
@BikermanCoUk6 ай бұрын
At 7:50 you show a queen and bishop battery and say it is unplayable. Am I missing something? The f7 pawn is covered by the black knight so the white queen cannot take...
@BikermanCoUk6 ай бұрын
PS - I tried the position on Stockfish and it put black at -2. Granted that is a big margin at this level, but it should have been playable.
@Kimple6646 ай бұрын
The problem is that black can't really move any of his pieces, while white has all the time in the world to do what he wants. He could for example bring the other rook into the game while black hopelessly watches. Whites black bishop can come to g5, threatening to take the knight so it doesn't support the f7 pawn anymore. In the end black cant defend against all of whites threats, and the position is so easy to play (for a grandmaster) for white that there is no way black doesn't lose. Basically it boils down to the advantage being huge, while also being easy to play. Black cannot make any complications in the hopes of white making a mistake.
@BikermanCoUk6 ай бұрын
@@Kimple664 yes, fair point. I'm less than 2000 so what is playable for me is probably hopeless for a GM. I just thought it might have been at least as playable as the alternative move selected

2nd: Wesley is Bobby's nephew & successor as the top classical 9LX player. Magnus is Garry's successor in being top - classical chess1 player - chess1 cheater - enemy of Bobby Fischer('s ghost). 3 questions Q1 - Why are chess1 players more dishonest & discriminatory than 9LX players? No cheating scandal in a classical 9LX tournament. In particular, a world champion never cheated a Jewish woman. Q2 - Do you side with Wesley, Bobby, Hans (axis of evil) over Magnus, Garry, Hikaru (allies of evil) ? Q3 - W/c WELL-DOCUMENTED FACT do you deny? Garry cheated G1 - Judit 1994 Linares. G2 - Vishy 1995 PCA classical WCC. G3 - Daniel Edelman 1988 simul. G4 - in 1999 MSN game Vs 'the world'. G5 - Alexei Shirov 2000 PCA classical WCC. & baselessly accused G6 - Deep Blue in 1997 rematch. Magnus cheated M1 - Anish 2023 Superbet Blitz. M2 - Sergey 2022 candidates. M3 - Alireza 2019 blitz WCC. M4 - Wesley 2022 rapid WFRCC. M5 - Danya TWICE on lichess 2020 & 2021. M6 - Nepo 2021 classical WCC. M7 - Alexandra Kosteniuk 2009 blitz WCC. M8 - by helping Hikaru in 2023 Grand Swiss (see below). M9 - in 2023 World Cup by throwing to Vincent Keymer as a reward for blacklisting Hans. & baselessly accused M10 - Hans 2022 Sinquefield Cup then cheated Hans by removal from 2022 CGC. M11 - Alisher & Alice Lee in Qatar, where Hamas leaders lived in 2023Oct, soon after Hamas attacked Israel. Hikaru cheated H1 - the late Arianne Caoili's spouse Levon 2016 candidates. H2 - in 2023 Grand Swiss: Alexey Sarana beat Wesley in 2023 World Cup. Then Magnus settled w/ Hans. Then Alexey blocked Hans. Then Magnus recruited Alexey to throw to Hikaru in 2023 Grand Swiss. & baselessly accused H3 - Hans 2022 Sinquefield Cup. WBH1 - Wesley & Bobby cheated no one. WBH2 - Hans cheated no one (as an adult). WBH3 - Wesley, Bobby & Hans baselessly accused no one. WBH4 - Hans supposedly cheated 100x, but Magnus definitely did: - cbarr81 asked: Do you ever log onto as an anonymous player, and just crush people for fun? - Magnus admitted in an AMA: Once in a while I’ve used some of my friends accounts and won a couple of games… or a lot… Source: ZgL6EskrJRg --- Part1 - Good guys vs Bad guys - Axis of Evil (Good guys?) wesley so, hans niemann, bobby fischer, sergey karjakin, vlad kramnik, ian nepomniachtchi, alireza firouzja, fabiano caruana, levon aronian, viktor korchnoi, pal benko, mikhail tal, amin tabatabaei, gukesh dommaraju, maxime vachier-lagrave, nodirbek abdusattorov, juan manuel bellón (anna cramling's dad), vidit gujrathi, andrii baryshpolets, vishy anand, jan-krzysztof duda, vladimir fedoseev, lichess, walter tevis, max pomeranc, chesscube, Sergey's hypothetical pure 9LX parallel, PCAP, 9LX, christopher yoo, gata kamsky, sam sevian, michael adams, leela, ATLA netflix fire nation & sokka in original, ferdinand marcos sr, ben johnson of perpetual chess podcast(?), elon musk(?), nikhil kamath, bibi netanyahu, both vladimir putin & volodymyr zelenskyy (because of sergey karjakin), ben shapiro, mustafa barghouti, barack obama, donald trump, tristan & andrew tate 🇺🇦🇮🇱🇹🇼🇮🇳🇺🇲🇬🇧🇦🇺🇯🇵 - Allies of Evil (Bad guys?) magnus carlsen, hikaru nakamura, garry kasparov, daniil dubov, veselin topalov, liren ding, aryan tari, abhimanyu mishra, tigran l petrosian, tigran v petrosian, paul keres, efim geller, parham maghsoodloo, pranav venkatesh, sébastien feller, vincent keymer, francisco vallejo, pentala harikrishna, arkady dvorkovich, peter heine nielsen, richárd rapport, alexey sarana, ches***m, fred & josh waitzkin, PCA, FIDE, NCFP, chess1, andrew tang, alejandro ramirez, sam shankland, nigel short, stockfish, ATLA original fire nation & sokka in netflix, prospero pichay jr, lex fridman(?), mark zuckerberg(?), sumner redstone, ariel sharon, ali khamenei & mahmoud abbas (because of alireza firouzja & randa seder), alan dershowitz, bassem youssef, joe biden, george bush jr & sr, piers morgan 🇷🇺🇵🇸🇨🇳🇵🇰🇳🇴🇮🇷🇮🇶🇰🇵 - axis of evil (female) (good girls?) tingjie lei (or paikidze), janelle frayna, anna cramling, dina belenkaya, rahma zein, randa seder, lotis key, carissa yip (or sara khadem), irina krush, heather walker, robbi jade lew - allies of evil (female) (bad girls?) wenjun ju, bella khotenashvili, alexandra & andrea botez, abby martin (so much for XMCr-bQk_DM ft mike prysner), turnabouttess, leny so, atousa pourkashiyan - nakamura, jennifer yu, dani chambers, nemo zhou - maybe slightly axis: agadmator but idk antonio radić kinda likes magnus. also roderick nava who replied to me. - maybe slightly allies: gothamchess but idk levy rozman kinda likes wesley. also deniel causo who didn't reply to me. Note: They correspond. Eg Wesley Vs Magnus Bobby Vs Garry Hans Vs Hikaru Christopher Yoo Vs Andrew Tang Dina Vs Andrea etc More info: FlNsFKeq-iE --- Part2 - Note on cheating: Crime can be done by anyone, but only leaders can commit war crimes. Similarly, Magnus & Garry don’t ‘cheat’ the way most players do - ‘engine cheating’, where they have some engine or assistant and covertly try to hide something from their opponents. It’s about the Pareto principle. They ‘cheat’ in a way that only they can do - ‘bullying cheating’, where they exploit their status as top players / world chess champions to overtly cheat. I understand this isn’t quite the connotative notion of ‘cheating’, but denotatively, I’m not wrong. More info: p1w4Rr-jr --- Part3 - Note on axis Vs allies in chess: They're not just good Vs bad. They're also axis of evil Vs allies of evil. They're both evil but in different ways. I'm saying that even though the axis of evil is evil, they're still more so the good guys compared to the allies of evil - whom I consider the bad guys. We may disagree on who the good Vs bad guys are, but I think we'll agree on axis Vs allies. Axis of Evil is the more conventional, obvious or well-known evil. Allies of Evil is the unconventional or inconspicuous evil. - Like tax collectors Vs Pharisees/Sadducees. - Criminal Vs War criminal. - Engine cheating Vs bullying cheating. More info: ARNSi0cPu60 --- Part4 - Note re Vlad: I view Vlad's accusation of Hans similar to Bobby's accusation of Anatoly Karpov & Wesley's wanting Sergey to not be in the 2022 candidates - it's a good guy fighting another good guy. The real bad guy in each respective case is Magnus, Garry & (either Magnus again or Hikaru). Tsk tsk. It's sad Vlad/Bobby/Wesley didn't realise that Magnus/Garry/Magnus is far more evil than Hans/Anatoly/Hans. Wait, I think Bobby did. Not sure. I think Bobby hated Garry more than Anatoly, but maybe not by much more. More info: eXHvXpOnAOE --- Part5 - More notes: 5.1 Wesley So, Bobby Fischer & Hans Niemann have NEVER done ANY of the ff evil things in chess as adults. Magnus Carlsen, Garry Kasparov & Hikaru Nakamura HAVE done EACH of the ff evil things in chess as adults. Evil: -Cheating -Baseless accusations -Discrimination (eg by cheating or baselessly accusing people mainly of a certain ethnicity or citizenship) -Treason Re treason: - Magnus betrayed fellow Scandinavian-descent Hans by baselessly accusing Hans - Hikaru betrayed fellow American Hans by baselessly accusing Hans. - Garry betrayed 2 fellow Jews Judit Polgar & Alexei Shirov by cheating them. 5.2 9LX players are more honest than chess players. - Wesley So, not Fabiano Caruana, is the 3rd highest peak fide classical rated honest player. Fabi is the highest. - Top 3 are Fabi, the late Arianne Caoili's spouse Levon, Wesley - all American. Also the 0th & 1st classical WFRCCs (resp Bobby & Wesley) are American. - Also, Hans & Wesley consider Bobby greatest while Magnus & Hikaru consider Garry greatest. What a coincidence! God bless America! SayNoTo2900! - Magnus hates MVL, the top rated honest player in rapid chess1 & blitz chess1 hence why Magnus cheated Alireza in 2019 blitz WCC: yirg14TiLt8 5.3 Bobby Fischer on 1999Mar25 on Philippine radio paraphrased: My rating would be at least 2900, which is a lot higher than Kasparov’s. But in the end, that’s not important Pablo because the point is, I got my rating honestly. All my games are real. I’ve never even pre-arranged a draw. They have nothing on me. That’s why they hate me so damn much - because I’m clean. Kasparov got his fantastic rating by pre-arranging almost all of his games. He’s a crook on a gigantic scale. You know, Eugene (Torre) could have the highest rating in the world too if he would pre-arrange all his games. - ( Bobby would like nephew Wesley & hate Magnus because Wesley = Eugene Torre, top Philippine-born player & Magnus = Garry, top player. As described in XNHWbgAsZnA or 2d427ys5FrY ) 5.4 Wesley So on 2018Jun08: I have never taken a prearranged draw, I never will, and I have never played a bad game to help a friend. Cos engines are ready to go for 200 to 300 move games which may result in a win but thats usually not feasible for humans. So when agadmator shows some of the engine lines i regret to say i reallh dont like it. Continue to play in his worda means may be 50 to 60 moves long even as an advantage for say +02. @@JonathanCodes-ol1cm ironic you say that, since Wesley and his ilk believe in imposing their beliefs on everyone else… the technical term for this is Christofascism… and making one’s beliefs known on social media means pointing them out is fair game…

Alireza is a strong super GM, no doubt about it, but his spot in the Candidates was simply a fraud tbh
@414aliha6 ай бұрын
Fraud is when someone does something illegal.. that's the weakness of the system .. Don't blame him .. also believe me if Wesley could win in an open tournament and farm some ratings like Alireza did, he would have done it 10 times.. it's not his style .. as u can see also in this tournament Wesley getting 90% draw and hoping for 10% win in a tournament.. this is how he won most of his tournaments. In an open tournament u should go for a win for all matches .. it's simply against Wesley's solid style

Off course, Alireza deserve the candidate spot because he always avoid boaring games and draw .

I dont think this game demonstrates what Wesley can do. He didnt even spend most of his time at crucial points. So its not that Alireza played magnificently..Wesley didnt play decently. So still the debate continues Edit: people are really triggered by this somehow. I get it. You may or may not be an Alireza fan. But i have explained enough in the replies why I think what i said, for this game. Not going to explain further. If you still manage to be triggered, don't bother replying. Be triggered on your own.

And why didn't Wesley do that? Why didn't he spend more time at crucial points, what was stopping him doing that? I m neither an Alireza fan, not Wesley fan, but in general, this match was definitely the point, where both had to prove who was more deserving the last candidates spot!
@harshrajbasant6 ай бұрын
@@anishpadhi4410 well i am hoping thats a rhetorical question. You don't see Wesley playing carelessly. But somehow he did in this match. Some moves were not even 3rd or 4th best and he wasn't even spending time on those moves. He started doing it towards the end of the match. On some days a player is just out of touch i guess. Fyi, I am not a fan of either of them but that's not the level of chess Wesley plays usually. So it would be too soon to say who was more 'deserving'.

Wesley was already lost after c5 so your point?
@harshrajbasant6 ай бұрын
@@feranmiadeakin9850I guess you can read. Ofcourse if you don't understand simple sentences then it's my bad. But that was the point. You rarely see him playing like that. That was not even what a normal GM would play..let alone a super GM like him. That too without spending time calculating. Like i said, maybe today he was out of touch or wasn't exactly interested in dragging things(totally out of my territory to point out the actual reason). But this was totally unlike his usual play style

Personally, every day Alireza Firouzja wins is a bad day for chess. His scumbaggery to get into the candidates was only overshadowed by his total scumbaggery during the tournament. he should stop playing chess and stay with 'fashion'.

what happened in the race to the candidates was sketchy but honestly? fide is the one that made this type of thing like farming for rating possible, dude wanted to play the candidates and it seemed within range for him, he still done things by the rules, if fide wants to stop these things from happening they should change the rules

This proves he should be in the Candidates. It doesn't matter what he did. He didn't do anything wrong
