very nice! a quick note though - both Wats and Panasports are kinda their own things, but both were inspired by the original Minilites from the early 1960s

Minilite wheels were first made in 1962 by John Ford and Derek Power. They were designed specifically for the BMC Mini, but quickly became popular with racers and enthusiasts around the world. The wheels are made of magnesium alloy, which is lightweight and strong, making them ideal for performance applications. The original 8-spoke design is still iconic today, and Minilite wheels are still manufactured by a number of companies.

Actually those wheels just look like the Japanese version of Minilite's: "Minilite wheels are 8-spoke design wheels, developed in 1962 for Austin Mini. Magnesium alloy was chosen for weight savings, and Minilite wheels quickly became a popular choice for racing and road use." They were so popular back in the 1960's that you could get them in almost any size.
@redrevoc Жыл бұрын
They're the original 8-spoke of that design. Watanabe 8-spokes are the japanese equivalent, and maybe the first one available in suitable bolt pattern for japanese cars? Not sure.
