After watching almost every "health to expert/ influencer", Dr. Greger is tops! The truth isn't wrapped in a click baity, revolutionary, new fad diet. It's the basics, fruits, nuts, seeds, veggies, legumes. Or as Michael Pollan puts it, "Eat food. Not too much. Mostly plants." (I love that he has to clarify, "food", as opposed to what, cats, dogs, humans? haha)

Interesting about the stress and loneliness isn't a factor if diet is good.

I love how he quickly dismissed the claims of Dr. Amen. It seems many are trying to connect just about anything to Alzheimer's these days

You recommend 1,000 micrograms a day. for me, 88 years old. I've been getting at least 100 which the bottle says is 4,167 % DV. Did you make a mistake?

No 1000mcg daily is correct

Dr Amen also says vegetarian diets are bad for the brain...too bad you didn't ask about that
@PLANTCEO2 ай бұрын
Because of the dairy?
@betzib80212 ай бұрын
@PLANTCEO he just preaches that veggies aren't enough nutrition for the brain. So he would think vegan diets are worse than vegetarian...the opposite of what dr Greger says.

@@betzib8021 I’ve seen an interview with him. Dr Greger was open to review his research when I mentioned him.

Dr “How not to die” Greger…amended to “How not to age”…then what?… “How to die”?

Quite similar titles, but the book publisher wants him to do a book around pain management. So it will be ‘How not to Hurt’.

Is Dr. Gregor biased? Kinda seems like it to me.
@ramonocasio84133 ай бұрын
It is completely science base , read his book, pure science, not anecdotal,

Only biased in that he goes with the science. That’s a good thing!

Aging the correct spelling if you are a real channel you should know how to spell stop wasting people's time
@PLANTCEO19 күн бұрын
Hi Kevin, I'm from the UK, and most people here and also in Australia and New Zealand spell Ageing with an 'e', whereas Aging without the 'e' is more common in America and Canada.

Baldness and facial features are genetic. If you just take advice from 18-year old people who look , by definition, youthful, you probably just end up eating potato chips. A true man knows the worth of knowledge despite the vessel the knowledge is carried in.

agree. I am a retired female MD and have been studying nutrition and its effect on health for more than 20 years. whenever I see Dr. Greger promoting his diet, I can`t believe people take him serious. He is 10 years younger than me as a postmenopausal meateating women and has far less muscle mass. Actually he looks teribbly sarcopenic and frail.

@@hiraijo1582 I understand that he recently acknowledged the need to do weigh-bearing exercise. According to this book, after consuming a certain amount of protein, about 0.8 to 1.0 gm/kg/day, there is no advantage either for health - indeed, it's actually detrimental- and no advantage for gaining muscle. To do that, resistance exercise is needed.

What is the purpose of your comment? That he shouldn't give an opinion because in your opinion he doesn't look young enough for his age? Do you have any advice, or are you about throwing shade with no tangible advice of your own to contribute?
