great work on this resto, watch it every now and then. i have to paint some fenders and a hood for my integra soon, i originally painted the car with sikkens as well. any recommendations on what can be done on how to achieve a close match? i know we used a light grey primer for the vehicle before base but im not sure if my painter at that time used a sealer of sorts, i was wondering if i should use sealer at all before the base coat and if so what color(i heard there are multiple color sealers?). and any other tips would be greatly appreciated. just trying to do my best

Brian laid it down right! I'm going to be starting a restoration project (1968 Mercury Cougar, no hate please, lol). I pulled up the tech info on this clear and it says the clear is designed for baking conditions. Did you bake the civic? If so, which clear would be comparable for a non baking environment? I'm a hobbyist in north Florida and assume very similar weather conditions as yours. I have an inflatable booth I'll be using. Great work all around, can't wait to see the finish!

Question for ya. When I was in school, I was taught to put at least 6 inch paper around the ready to paint surface. To help eliminate the overspray from the ruffle of the plastic. I went to school 12 years ago XD. So do you think that is still worth it? I use Sikkens as well, with a Sata gun. It would save time if I don't need to do it. haha

That vary based on the condition and such. A good full paint job will start around $5k or more

I'm about a month behind on your videos, I'm glad I'm getting caught up. I love the restoration videos. For this one, since it's a restoration, are you doing anything with the loading stickers, paint code or interior code stickers, or the vin stickers that were in the doors, hood, trunk, etc...? I'm planning on doing this to my integra, and I figured I would need to start sourcing some stuff now, but it seems no one makes the replica stickers for the tire pressures, vehicle loadings, etc... in the door jam, and can't seem to track down vin sticker replications either (although, there is probably a good legal reason for that).

Most of the stickers are either not available or not replaceable. All you have to do is tape over those stickers.
