Hey thanks for that massive chair breakdown video you did for heights and budget. The quality you produce is way way above expected. I appreciate the hardwork, now all I have to do is hunt for a used aeron or embody lol

I got the breck and the Soji, I wouldn't say the Breck is anywhere near as good as the Soji. The Soji so much more comfortable, feels better built, and the adjustability is so much better suited to fit a wider range of people.

What an amazing review! I'm in the market for a new chair for my home office and found your page. SO HELPFUL! Thank you!! I'm curious about your thoughts on the Haworth Breck versus the Branch Ergonomic. I'm 5'5" 140lbs. I'd be getting the black/black of either one, so colour options aren't a consideration. Thank you!

Interesting to see the "white colorway" tax on chairs is similar as it is to PC parts. Besides matching the Fern do you think there is any real reason to choose the colorway that you did over the stock black? I'm guessing the color tax is only really worth it if you have a specific color scheme you are trying to match/create.
@thewhitewolffl4 ай бұрын
I went with buying 2 all black Fern chairs, being the most affordable pricing option.
@Ahnestly4 ай бұрын
I go both ways on the color stuff...part of me says go with the cheaper option, it's just a color after all, but there's another part of me that says if I'm resolute on spending this much money already, I don't mind spending a little more on getting the version I actually like.

How does this compare to the branch ergonomic pro chair, also vs the non pro version? Is the pro worth it?
@Ahnestly3 ай бұрын
I got the pro in for testing. Feature wise it’s closer to the Haworth soji, but the seat is a major downgrade on the pro. I recommend the breck or soji over the pro. Hope this helps and if so, please consider using my links if you decide to pick up!

If you had to pick - LEAP 2 or GESTURE or MIRRA 2?
@Ahnestly4 ай бұрын
For me personally, Leap v2 (I used to not like the Leap, but was forced to daily drive during my studio moves, and I can appreciate it a lot more now). The Gesture's lumbar/back curve just doesn't fit me that well and the Mirra 2 is awesome, but I like the freedom of movement in the Leap. Hope this helps! As always, please consider using my links if you decide to pick up! Helps the channel a LOT!

The fractal refine is $499. To my eyes it looks better. Thoughts Dan?
@Ahnestly4 ай бұрын
If you want the high back and prefer sitting upright / flat back, refine is probably better. If you want a more cushy and hugging experience, the breck. I can’t talk enough about how much I like this thing, esp for the price.

@@AllthatmakesFall Oh are you fr? i saw a lot of good opinions about that chair, whats wrong with hbada?
@AllthatmakesFall4 ай бұрын
@spinerpl932 unfortunately I now realize it's just people that were paid to make a review on it making videos. There is 1 guy who made a very honest review, and his biggest complaint ended up being mine as well. The arms are extremely bulky, and also way too forward. Like naturally you usually rest your arms at your side, but because of how the chair is built you have to rest your arms more forward, and it really does feel a bit awkward. The lumbar is also a little too much, and doesn't go high enough (for me). The highest setting could work for me, but the highest setting actually isn't usable because it's just for resetting the height, it doesn't lock.
@AllthatmakesFall4 ай бұрын
@spinerpl932 the only good things were the footrest imo, but for $580 that's not worth it
@AllthatmakesFall4 ай бұрын
Biggest problem is definitely the arms, if the arms went more back I think overall it would allow my body to align better to the chair. Also at this point I'm required to bend them in in order to work at my desk, then bend them out to leave. It's just very inconvenient.

@jackboxer75374 ай бұрын
The Haworth Breck is so close to perfect, but the too-strong recline tension is unfortunately a dealbreaker. It essentially forces you to sit upright all the time, which is not comfortable nor healthy for full-time work. If the Breck had tilt tension adjustability, it would be one of my top office chair recommendations for short to average-height users.
@Dogloverr994 ай бұрын
I don't understand why people don't just include a lock instead of a knob
@jackboxer75374 ай бұрын
@Madge104 I generally prefer tilt limiter over tilt lock, because it gives you some support to sit upright from a recline without needing to toggle a switch.
@Ahnestly4 ай бұрын
@@Dogloverr99 Agree with jackboxer here. I much prefer a tension knob to get the tension just right so I am leaning back a tiny smidge when sitting in my chair. My personal preference is to get both a lock and a tension knob though!
