I think we should bring internet forums to the mainstream. In the 90s and 2000s this is what most ppl used, and seeing how this big social media platforms want AI users and content this is the best solution. Been part of a gaming forum and website called Gematsu for a time now and imo it's much better experience that having to stand rage bait and topics recommended to me in Twitter which I'm not interested

Seems like the initial tweet vastly changes the actual explanation from Facebook. "Flooding the platform with AI users" is very different from "some interactive AI characters". My first read is that it will be something more akin to CAI, except they exist in social media and interact with many people. I am not condoning it, but this seems very different from the initial claim, and not quite "dead internet" worthy (if the AI characters have identifiers that they are AI). Anything else seems like overreaction and baiting.

Fuck this intro is a pain in the ass to listen to. Limiters prevent audio from peaking past a certain point. Of course they won’t fix it. Gate stops all noise below a certain threshold, when that threshold is exceeded consistently, the gate opens and lets everything through. The gate is working as intended and isn’t the fix. You need to figure out which eq band the noise is and remove it with a filter.
