@sumonjamal16532 ай бұрын
Chad Gray (lead vocals) formed Mudvayne in the 90's and they broke big in 2000 w/ the album 'LD.50'... After 10 years of Mudvayne, the band decided to go on hiatus after the tour for their 2008 album 'The new game'... They released the self-titled 'Mudvayne' album in 2009 without a tour. Chad Gray became friends with (former) Pantera drummer Vinnie Paul, so when he began work on a 'Southern fried heavy metal band' in 2007, he asked Vinnie Paul to join and they released their debut self-titled album Hellyeah! (which sold gold in the US) ... the band also initially featured Mudvayne guitarist Greg Tribbett... They decided to focus on Hellyeah! from 2010 after Mudvayne went on hiatus... Tribbett left the band in 2013... Chad Gray and Vinnie Paul (and guitarist Tom Maxwell) kept Hellyeah! going until Vinnie Paul passed away in 2018... Hellyeah! released their final album 'Welcome Home' in 2019 and Gray decided to end the band after the tour. Mudvayne has since returned to touring and is currently opening for Megadeth in 2024.

What a wonderful time the end of the 90s and beginning of the 2000s. Korn, System of a Down, Deftones, Slipknot, Linkin Park and Papa Roach in their best moments, Drowning Pool, Limp Bizkit, Breaking Benjamin, Evanescence, P.O.D. Explosion of Nu Metal, my favorite musical genre. And along with these more famous bands, several others emerged without as much press but excellent, such as Ill Niño, Chevelle, Kittie, Flaw, Static-X, Nonpoint, Adema, Seether, Godsmack, Saliva, Sevendust, among many others, such as Mudvayne. It's really cool to remember these groups from a memorable era. "World So Cold", "Death Blooms" or "Not Falling" next by Mudvayne!

Happy is off of their 3rd studio album, Lost and Found. Though this album felt more commercial than the previous 2, it still has plenty of incredible songs (Happy?, Fall into Sleep, Forget to Remember). Their first studio album, LD 50, is them at their most experimental and raw. Many of their best tracks are on LD 50 ( Dig, Death Blooms, Cradle, Severed, -1, Prod, Internal Primates Forever, Pharmacopeia, Nothing to Gein). My recommendations are definitely Severed, Death Blooms, and Nothing to Gein. Frankly, anything off of their first 2 studio albums are bangers, but these are my personal favorites.

There is so much to enjoy about Mudvayne. As a long time waster, I love seeing people find them. The singles are great. World So Cold, Not Falling, Determined, Death Blooms, Forget to Remember (my fav), Scarlet Letters, Scream With Me, etc. All great songs. But you get into the deep cuts or the fan favorite songs. Pharmaecopia (definitely need a lyric video for), -1, Nothing to Gein, Skyring, Silenced, Trapped in the Wake of a Dream, The Patient Mental, Under My Skin, (K)now F(orever). Honestly. LD 50, The End of All Things to Come and Lost and Found are just good albums front to back. Chad Gray is a beast on vocals. Ryan Martinie is other worldly on bass. Greg Tribbett is under appreciated on guitar. And Matt McDonough is slept on for his nontraditional style of playing.

If you are a bass fan then I would highly recommend Death Blooms, Chad Gray (Lead singer) wrote this after watching his Grandmother on her death bed and the events around that with family. Powerful song Also to speak on his unique vocals, he has his own identity similar to how the unmistakable vocals of David Draiman of Disturbed. I think Chads other band "Hellyeah" compliments his vocals so much more than Mudvayne and the slower songs with his cleans are amazing. Songs to try from Hellyeah; You wouldnt know, Moth, Human, Oh my god, Love Falls, Drink Drank Drunk, Hush, and Alcohaulin' Ass. Little history on that too, Hellyeah is a Supergroup composed of Chad Gray on vocals, Vinnie Paul former Pantera drummer and other members from other famous bands

Opening up the cassette tape for LD50 way back when, I remember the insert for the lyrics was kinda massive. I had only heard Dig and I wanted to listen to the whole thing, but it caught me really off guard that their songs said so much. So I sat and read everything before I heard the album, and all together it felt like a small book of poetry instead of lyrics. That really made me respect them for putting so much into their music, irregardless of the style in which they chose to present it, which might trick you into thinking they had nothing of substance to say. Lost and Found was an instant buy for me.

It is all about someone who gave you everything, then tore it away when they departed and left you with nothing. Yeah he painted a corn snack known as Bugles and then glued it to his head.
