Toriyama's humor is honestly an "acquired taste". It can be corny as hell but you sort of get used to it and find it funny after a while. Its something that people who havent seen OG are missing. In essence, Toriyama is a gag manga artist first and a fight manga artist second. Its the mistake that people like me take with this whole franchise. We take this series too seriously, sometimes even more than the author, lol.
