This also shows, ironically, that Ainz doesnt really need wars or bloodshed to conquer. Honestly while I was reading novel, I had almost feeling, especially after I read the last arc, that Ainz when left alone can do much better than he gave himself credit for. He came to the Empire, showed his might and what he has to offer and with bit of misunderstanding he made head of the nation kneel to him, without ANYONE dying. I belive that many of his actions would be completly diffrent if it were not for him wanting to live to expactations of his followers.

This is *exactly* what happens in the side novel where instead of Ainz arriving in the new world with the tomb, he is just by himself. *SPOILERS* He meets up with evileye just as she is starting out as a newly undead and together they ultimately found a new guild. In fact when the Tomb of Nazarick shows up hundreds of years later, he had almost forgotten about it!

Great review! I look forward to the next, but please take your time. I’m so glad you brought up Ainz’s discussion with Ainzach regarding the Adventurers Guild’s future. The way that the anime cut the conversation made it feel like Ainzach was just throwing out ideas and Ainz said “Yeah, let’s go with that.” It really gave the impression that Ainz was just being foolish in wanting to recruit adventurers in the Empire and the old guild master had to give him advice. Except Ainz’s decision to scout adventurers in the Empire was based on sound logic and it was as Ainz explained the merits behind his decision that first convinced Ainzach that Ainz was a wise and respectable leader. It’s also hilarious how Ainz was actually (I believe) in his thirties, yet everyone see him as this peerlessly wise and charismatic king that has existed for many lifetimes.

Its true having subordinates who are older or more experienced than you is awkward. Having taught martial arts in my teens and 20s teaching people my parents age was initially weird but once you realize they respect your experience its not so bad. (Fluffed up) In nazarik various experiments are done with healing and rival magic. Ains once explained that resurrection is not performed on the body, but the soul. But the body is still needed to reach the soul. The brief text we heard from the book of the dead relates to this. About the soul, the vessel and the body.

@@RutraNickers no that's way off, he's level 36 to 42 at best since he can cast up to 6th tier (6 levels per tier of magic) He's one of the 4 outlier humanoids in the continent. Outliers are above hero level 30+ (Clementine, Remedios, Black Scripture Members barring 10th seat, Captain and Extra Seat).
