It's cracked because an idiot changed the air-filter just like the idiot in this video showed you how. This video should be titled "How to crack the black hose on your air filter, Honda Accord 2003-2007". Do NOT PUSH the filter cover like this guy. You need to undo more and take it off properly. Taking it off like this guy is why that hose will crack.

this guy = @@Jez2008UK -> speaking the real truth here Although, this may be the most convenient way of changing the air filter, as older the intake hose gets, the more chances you get to crack it. I have a few colleagues in our Honda Accord group, who are looking for these hosese due to the cracks.

These things will crack even not moving. Mine had never been replaced nor taken off. But one day I noticed in the splines there were some cracks/gaps. Either way, unbolt everything and remove gently. Alot of thermal expansion and temp changes in the engine bay​ so it will get brittle over time. @@Jez2008UK
