Air Regulator Leaking Air - Fixed!

I repair a leaking air regulator on a Campbell Hausfeld 2 gallon twin stack air compressor.

Had to watch over a dozen other vids on air regulator repair before you showed me how to get out the high pressure side. That made my day. And the fellow who called it a “cup o-ring” probably also helped. The compressor I am working on is a Devilbis Charge Air Pro (4 HP 12 GAL) made in 2000, with no manuals on-line, and the mfg could care less. They WANT us to throw stuff away! I subscribed based on the way you did this video. IMO, it is excellent. Hope you have continued and are successful.

The dude fiGURED campnell hausfeld regulator issue. Being a rubber ferrel displaced inside. Bravo !! Love cats way kool vid and all trucks / heavy equipment i depend on air tools. Colorado farm ranch and motocross trackowner girl does turn a wrench. Well done! Plus kitties purring are the nuts.

Strange, tore mine apart nothing seemed amiss so put it back together - now all is well (for now) If anything I tightened things up a bit more when reassembling. I called warranty and have another manifold coming in January, but seems fixed for now. BTW, love the cats in the video!

there are two hoses one goes back into the motor and has a switch set at 110 and the wires go to the switch, MIne cant pump over 80 psi, the pump inside is bad,

Was the spring on the nub still intact? The spring on mine is completely disintegrated and i cant find a replacement part.

I simply used a standard generic o-ring of the appropriate diameter. The stock one was an unusual shape and I don't know the proper term for it 😖

@@HooptieDoodle haha, fair enough! That's good to hear the standard rings work, because mine uses the same type as yours. I'm trying to figure out if these are metric or SAE. Mine actually had just folded in on itself, so when I reset it, it now holds pressure and doesnt leak anymore, but the rest of the o-rings are in dire shape. Thank you for replying!

Thats a cup o ring. It has that shape so when air pressure builds under it, it self adjusts. Id say you should be able to find one but considering its taking me 3 months to find a simple 22mm cap...Cant find things anymore in the US. So you do what you can, with what you got.

The air pressure regulator is used to limit the air pressure to you air tool. The air pressure switch shuts off the voltage to the motor at 110psi. The power cord goes into the pressure switch.

Would a faulty pressure switch prevent it from starting? I was just gifted one of these and it doesn't turn on with the switch. I verified power to the switch. But that's as far as I've gotten.
