I put a 380 bT on a lathe, made a hole so a 22 blank load in the front of a .510 slug. Hope to try them sometime during the week. Will report back. Cool video ✌️

@@BackyardDispatcher I did it at a friend’s lathe. And I suppose you can do it with a drill press, but I wanted to make sure the slug was balanced. ✌️

Hello Sir, Thank you as always for the enjoyable content. As far as that scope, I think the general consensus is that its price is very reasonable, relative to its most stand-out feature - the ability to have 2 screens working simultaneously, with one showing digital night vision, & the other being thermal imagery. I don’t believe any other scope offers such performance. Your ballistic testing today made me think about a unique approach to using airguns that can offer plenty of testing for anyone interested. Are you aware of the company in Italy called Cododo? They sell real firearm ammo: .308, .357, .45 etc., minus the brass & powder that’s connected to a custom made Sabot-like base that allows you to legally shoot it out of your p.c.p. I believe they originally were intended for CO2 airguns. It’s pretty cool. You could take your Hammer.510 and shoot .45acp rounds at 900+ f.p.s. but using kinetic energy. If they don’t have ones available in .510, then I believe you can request it. It really is the golden age of airguns. Lately, it’s not what you can do with airguns, it’s more like what can’t you do? The creative opportunities as of late with this industry seems unyielding. Be well and be safe.

Thank you! It does have some cool features, I think my personal preference just leans more towards a traditional scope. I think if I wanted the NV, Id go for a dedicated optic for doing that. Only issue is they can cost a lot more than this, $3 to 4k. Ive been thinking of trying some sabot style rounds just for the hell of it, ill check that out👍👍

I almost got hurt by a shell that came back at me ☠ you at an angle so much more safe , what is the fps on the thermal ? I think when ammo does stuff like blows up I think of what we did to our enemies in days of old , $100 night vision is pimp . I hope YT will chill soon , To be honest when I was in the service I had better eyesight I drove better without using it , I know I am rambling.
@toxicmatrix13372 ай бұрын
50 FPS on the thermal. Im curious if it was the shell or maybe the slug that came back lol. For the money, the binoculars are pretty cool. I keep hearing things outside at night, its nice to be able to whip them out and see the entire yard. $100 is pretty good deal, Day/Night vision + you can record. I dont think its a bad option to get some extra angles with it for people filming on a budget.

@@toxicmatrix1337 it was the casing I think so too for a 100bones I think it is a fantastic price . I think most of these really do a 1080 resolution better than the 4k but look ok if you crunch down the video to a smaller frame size
@toxicmatrix13372 ай бұрын
@@BackyardDispatcher Scaling it down will definitely help make it look better. Its just a shame that it doesnt look nearly as good in full frame. The scope cam is hard to put in full frame too long because of how jarring the movements are. I keep forgetting to tell myself to fire and hold still for about 2-3 seconds, that way I wont need to slow the clip down lol. When I was using the Kratos at night, I had the tripod and monopod. When its on a stable platform, not nearly as jarring. I wasnt sure how I was going to display the footage at night, I was surprised to be able to just roll the DNT cam footage when doing the KYL target. I probably shouldve waited until real late to do this, maybe in the winter I will follow up. Its not pitch black early enough yet, too late to be making this noise when it is.

The base dnt scope without range finder or thermal (just day and ir night vision) =$499. Add a lrf and ballistic calculator =$699. The thermnight with all of the above plus thermal = $1k. Since you only used the day and ir nv that is your $499.

I think Id prefer less features and have it dedicated to doing 1 or 2 things very well. It feels like a jack of all trades but doesnt perform as well as Id like doing a specific task.

Suggestion: Invest in a high quality slow-mo camera. Watch a few "The Slow Mo Guys" videos for reference. I think it would help your channel grow. Granted, the initial cost wouldn't be cheap, and the camera setup for each shot would take a bit more time, but It may be worth it. P.S. - I'm new to the channel, so if you already have one, then disregard this post 😉

Ive been debating grabbing one, but the cost is insane. The initial price is 4000 dollars + another $1600 for RAM and it doesnt even come with a lens. lol!
