For many who use to shoot archery or crossbows but no longer are able to for physical reasons , the air bow allows them to somewhat keep that hunting tradition alive .

excellent point. I am kind of in that same boat. Sadly you know how regulations are... I totally agree it like the same thing but without the stiff neck, traps and pain..... Thanks for watching......

@@ShootingTargets727 another plus to an air bow is the ability to easily reduce the speed of the arrow to practice and keep from blowing through targets and destroying your arrow in the process .

@@hotchihuahua1546 Yea, reducing speed is definitely needed. I am sure they are advertising max speed as more of a marketing ploy since to me it is not needed unless reaching out there a long ways. Thanks for the additional information.

You are correct on some things but are missing the point. A Bow is way way way more quiet then a Air bow or air rifle. Its the crack!! and time of flight that counts and believe me, that airbow better be sizzling in fps and under 60 yards or you will be in trouble, and if that animal is jumpy? forget about it....

Started out as a kid with pellet guns and homemade slingshots, bows and arrows. Retired now, in my second childhood, I'm back to pellet guns and homemade slingshots, bows and arrows. :) Agree, you don’t need heavy bows for deer. Killed plenty with 45 to 50 pound elm or maple selfbows. Done the recurve, longbow, crossbow thing. Seen that some crossbows have exceeded 500 fps! Amazing technology! Haven't tried the pneumatic arrow guns. To me "ARCHERY" is done with hand drawn and hand released arrows. I have no problem with crossbows and arrow guns, I just think that they should be restricted to the seasons with the other trigger operated weapons (muzzle loaders and or rifles). Each to their own.

Contact the Airgun Sporting Association they are working to get airgun hunting legalized in every state. I worked on Georgia for 2 years before getting connected with ASA. Infact I was able to sit in on some of the early meetings as the ASA was beginning. Big game is legal in Georgia. We are working on turkey now. If you are an air gunner y'all need to contact your state reps and push the airgun hunting. It will bring in new hunters of all ages.

See i wondered i have light carbon bolts (umarex javelin) only 50 grain small broadheads( blood bug)after sighting this in and jst plain tinkering with it with feild points and targets i guarantee it will kill a dear 40 yards under for sure.40 to 75 not so sure so i can see why the umarex air saber and the hatsan harpoon both air bows could be useful.

I've never used a bow to kill a turkey but I have used a Pellet gun to hunt turkey when I was a kid or a 410 shotgun I'm not a big fan of bows or crossbows my dad loves to hunt with bow or crossbow thanks for sharing bsafe buddy 👍

Yep, same....... In our area as I mentioned you have to use some type of bow sadly the airguns are not an option. Thanks again for watching.
