AirDog Motor, Cat Fuel Filter, and Fuel Pressure Gauge Install

In this video I install a new motor on my airdog and while I was at it I decided to Install a cat fuel filter and a fuel pressure gauge. The filter is cheaper than the air dog ones and the fuel pressure gauge is to let me know if my motor dies again. It also help to tell when the filter is getting blocked.

if you have a fuel filter delete on duramax you can put fuel pressure gauge on the bottom then you can lay on your back under the truck with the ignition on and see the fuel pressure before the cp3/4

What's the part number for the fuel pressure guage and snubber?

Did you run into any issues taking out those springs to be able to run the cat filter

No, I have never had a filter loosen up on me.

How did you get the cat filter to seat?

On my unit I just had to round the edges of the bracket slightly. I also had to take two small plastic spring loaded keepers out. They were held in with some allen head bolts and then it just spins right on.

What was the purpose for the 2 spring's you removed ?

Why use the cat? The fleetguard filter and or the original Airdog filter filters 2 micron

They are $17 and I can get them locally is why I went with the cat.

What model airdog do you have that uses this part number? I have a DF-165 What part number is for the fuel filter?

Fuel filter is a Donaldson 551315 @@HollywoodMGB3

@@HollywoodMGB3 It was a 100 model but had the updated pump on it now. When I have some time I'll get down to Cummins and spec out filters to fit out of their Fleetgaurd stock.
