Dinner time and I thought I haven't yet tried to cook jacket potatoes in the airfryer. Very pleased with the results! I won't wait years before cooking jacket potatoes as using an airfryer is a cinch, compared to what felt like hours cooking in the oven.
As usual the cost breakdown is at the end of the vlog, this is the cost of buying the ingredients not including energy costs - thats really difficult to work out. However, what we do know is that Airfryers and microwaves are cheaper than using the oven, so there must be some savings there.
Hope you enjoy....
Kerry

Jacket potatoes are good and filling, I do the same as you, start in microwave and crisp up in my halogen air fryer. I put loads of butter on mine top with loads of cheese and then grill till cheese is melted. Not the most healthiest of things ,and I also tend to make far to many , but they are so delicious...! 😂 I like mine with coleslaw (full fat of course) 🤣

I do myself a jacket potato with most dinners, I love them, I'm the only one in my family that eats them! I do like a pound of butter and cheese with them though lol, and a fresh salad and coleslaw ... delightful ... I wish I had an airfryer though because it takes so long to crisp them in the oven xxx

I love how the jacket potatoes come out of the air fryer, depending on the size of the potato I normally cook for about 45 mins to an hour at 200c turning half way,I like the skins nice and crispy,I don't microwave first, after 45 minutes I check the internal temp of the potato with an instant read thermometer which I do for most of my cooking and if it's above 100c I know it's nicely cooked, another good video, just trying to catch up on your back catalogue and enjoying your easy to follow and down to earth cooking

You're supposed to slow cook them in an oven so 2 hours to dehydrate and crisp up in an oven. Done these in an air fryer they are great. Compliments to the chef there's nothing wrong with that. Cheap, good food.

Hi Kerry I cook jacket potatoes first in the microwave and then crisp in my Halogen oven, as there is a lot more room than the air fryer. Will put oil on the skins next time , like yours. I tried adding onions to some frozen chips in my air fryer but the onions dried out, will add them later next time. I agree sausages cook perfectly in an air fryer will add some peppers & onions for about the last 5 mins in future then i wont have to chop the sausages. I have a meat thermometer to check the sausages are cooked, couldn't believe how quick they cooked. in an air fryer. Thanks for the video and some good cooking tips, Best Wishes Eileen x
