Well done Mark, nice to see the different ways rifles work and strip apart, and the home made tools, 👍👍👍..

Hi m8 I got the adjustment screw but having trouble seting it
@airgunsniper-elite7385 Жыл бұрын
The screw adjusts the Choke and only needs fine adjustments to have an effect. Clockwise to lower and anti clockwise to increase power. If you find that you have fully opened the Choke and the power isn't enough, then you'll need to increase hammer spring pressure. Throw a regulator into the works and even more balancing is required. A Chronograph is a must. With regulator fitted, ideally the Choke should be fully open and power balanced with the hammer. Regulator can be turned down for more shots. Be prepared to get through a lot of your most efficient pellets to get your perfect tune.

Hi mucker hope your good,quick question sort of off topic.Struggling with Altaros Reg in my S200 .Set at 100 Bar ,hammer spring wound right out just over flush with block.Air Venturi fully open but blocked by blanking screw.Exhaust valve spring wound out about half a turn bit less.Using JSB Hades 15.89 pellets.Still struggling with muzzle energy being over .Any help or suggestions greatly appreciated .Gun not ported ,polished,cleaned ,lubed and new seals.Im at a loss as xtx air recommends not touching air Venturi adjuster but I think I may have to.Stay safe bud .Tony

I had this problem after fitting the external lane reg. Bleed the air, take out the exhaust valve and put awasher/spacer on the valve spring to add tension to the spring. Wind the adjuster all the way in again, and back off until you have the required power.
@airgunsniper-elite73854 жыл бұрын
The final fine tune can be achieved using the port grub screw if needed. That's how Phil Crampton does it, although I managed to do it using the exhaust valve by adding tension to the spring with washers.
@tonyashton7804 жыл бұрын
@@airgunsniper-elite7385 Cheers Mark I can do that ,do I need to use the Venturi screw too to add some restriction.?Exhaust valve spring needs more tension then.I never received any instructions from Altaros I'm reasonably competent on gun projects,but it's harder with no base line to start from ?,thanks new direction and hopefully power down.Cheers Tony

Just joined Air Arms Owners Club saw Raj,s posts etc...,never stop learning with PCP .I'd be happy with 70 to 80 shots off 190 bar charge @11.3 ft-lb .just fine tuning
@tonyashton7804 жыл бұрын
@@airgunsniper-elite7385 Yes I think I may have to do both .Just can't understand Altaros sending out reg which is no on min pressure that exceeds joules required.When iv packed exhaust valve spring is it a half turn out again or more?hammer screw is flush.Cheers this info is much appreciated bud Altaros should update their regs with a bit more precise adjustment info.Tony

Here's the link for Drapers in Nottingham, but you can buy them from most good gun shops, or even direct from Air Arms: www.drapers-airguns.co.uk/index.php/catalogsearch/result/?q=Air+Arms+S200+magazine

hi mark. ive just purchased an s200 mk1 and it needs a few jobs done to it,where did you get your magazine set up,and paint job😁👍
@airgunsniper-elite73854 жыл бұрын
Hello Stephen, here's the link to how I did the paint job on the S200: kzbin.info/www/bejne/j3WxY6qra7Ohh5Y You can buy a multi shot adapter from most gun shops, or even online. I purchased some extra magazines through Altaros. You get two for the price of a normal Air Arms magazine, plus they are better in my opinion, as they have the shot numbers marked on them. Here's the link for the seperate magazines. www.altaros.cz/en/30-air-arms-czub The multi shot magazine kits are between £80 and £99 depending on where you buy it from, but are a really good optional extra. www.drapers-airguns.co.uk/index.php/catalogsearch/result/?q=Air+Arms+S200+magazine

hi mark,if that rifle is regulated it seems that there is quite a bit of variation in the speeds,would have thought it might be a bit more consistent being you are shooting what i would say,,a quality pellet.
@airgunsniper-elite73854 жыл бұрын
I agree. It used to be really consistent. I am taking it out. Probably needs a service. I'll probably unwind the transfer port restricted all the way out and adjust the reg and hammer adjustment to match. There's to many variations for consistency.
@carlwebb66554 жыл бұрын
A regulated s200 should have the transfer port fully open and only adjust the power from the hammer spring.
@airgunsniper-elite73854 жыл бұрын
Yes, I know. The problem with my rifle is the hammer spring is probably too strong. If i unscrew the transfer port fully open the power goes too high. I have now replaced the 1mm x 12mm grub screw with a 1mm x 6mm grub screw and am currently seeing how far I can adjust the hammer spring. I may even buy a different regulator, as it just isn't working as it is.
@carlwebb66554 жыл бұрын
@@airgunsniper-elite7385 can you just take a coil off the spring before looking at the reg?
@airgunsniper-elite73854 жыл бұрын
@@carlwebb6655 Yes, I suppose I could. I intend to buy a lancet Mk9 external regulator and see how much difference that will make. The Altaros that I am using is an old one which looks like a pencil and had no breath hole for venting. Not sure if the inconsistancy is partly down to the current regulator. As soon as the regulator arrives I will go through the hole process. I have managed to open up the transfer port fully and wind the hammer adjuster right out, but its very inconsistent giving between 10.1 ft/lbs and 11.9 ft/lbs, so something is really amiss at the moment, so it could be the current regulator farting low and high between filling up with air .

Yes, I have found that it works best about 3 inches from the front of barrel or silencer. The problem I am getting at my home range is that the rose bushes are being blown around too much by the wind and the radar is picking those up on some of the shots and buggering up the shot.
