It started from a video of someone using Vergil in the game, in a level outside a hotel(I think), the player try to destroy all the surrounding things that can be destroy, but due to a bug(I think), one chair can’t be cut no matter what attack was used. You can search up the video. The title of the video is ‘Vergil finds a true chair.’

Tbh I think the plastic chair makes it better, sure the vine one more fitting because of the tree and all that but for some reason the plastic chair just feels so...right. Not to mention the image of someone as powerful and monstrous as Vergil just casually sitting on a plastic chair on top of the tree just vibing is actually really amusing. If anything someone like Vergil sitting on a plain old plastic chair instead of some gaudy throne feels more like a flex than anything.

@@Airier It's also entirely busted, capable of nuking the hardest bosses on the hardest difficulty setting in seconds. It will require an obscene amount of orbs to do so, but by the time the player gets to that point, the orb stack will already be massive anyway (and otherwise useless, as the player would have bought everything significant by this time). Further, it's believed the hat is also a bit of a meta joke from the developers in response to a leaked conference held by staff of Ninja Theory in regards to the DMC reboot roughly a decade ago. In said conference, there was a slide projector presentation claiming "old" Dante was lame (where he was poorly photoshopped in with Brokeback Mountain characters) and their reboot version was cool (depicting some edgy hooded teen sitting in a tire landfill).

The scarf is tied to the hat since in-game it consumes your Red Orbs to use a good deal of its abilities - the scarf gets shorter or longer depending on how many Red Orbs you have. Usually depicted with sunglasses and White Monster lounging in a plastic chair to complete the boomer look. Someone decided to mod the chair he creates on top of the tree into a plastic chair for the memes. Naturally that blew up so Maxor included it.

I will just go ahead and answer some of the questions you had in this video: V's name has no meaning, it is just suppossed to be a reference to Vergil. Trish is a demon who can use magic. She just made clothes for herself once she was awake again. The Dante dance sequence is not modded in. Almost every Devil May Cry game has a scene that features some absolutley silly and ridiculous shit, because Dante is just the type of dude that would randomly have a dance montage. The entire reason they gave him a motorcycle as a weapon this game is because in a previous game he use a motorcycle like a weapon imitating Bruce Lee, also in the game prior to this (DMC4), Dante has a legit musical montage with one of his bosses because the boss was overly dramatic and Dante just felt like playing along. Honestly, if Devil May Cry didn't do silly shit like this, it wouldn't be nearly as beloved. Also the Hat is an actual weapon you can use, and it uses currency as your ammunition. From what we know Dante pretty much knew that Urizen was Vergil after seeing him for the first time. The only ones who dont know are the people that never met Vergil... so the mystery is mainly kept for Nero as well as the audience that only started with Devil May Cry 4. The plastic chair is modded in. Someone once made a mod that replaced Vergil's throne he made out of the roots of the Qliphort tree with a silly plastic chair, which then just became a huge meme.

EDIT: About Trish having clothes when she arrives at the Qliphoth with V, she made those clothes with her lightning demon powers. She's a demon btw. The "fast gor ila" and "DEVIL MAY CRY" part isn't modded. DMCV has a feature that when the characters meet up during missions you can see the way other players have played those missions and it shows those people's handles.

Not *have* played, that feature is in real time with other players doing the same mission as you at the same time. Best example of this is Mission 13 - Three Warriors, where three players as Nero, Dante and V share the same level without being separated like in earlier missions with Nero and V.

@ the names of Vergil's halves: "V" basically named himself, if you can call it that. It's just the initial letter of "Vergil" - close enough for Dante to understand what he means, but not really fully admitting to it. "Urizen" on the other hand never calls himself by that name. Dante coined it and told everyone else that's what it was. He did so because V introduced him as "he is your reason" - meaning that this entity is the person that most shaped Dante and made him who he is: Vergil. Buuuut, like brothers are, he turned it into a nickname... "Your reason" -> "Urizen"

More missing context edited out from the game: Nico, the van driver, is a weapon maker, and gave Dante that cowboy hat (like everything she makes, it has special properties being laced with demonic power, hence the scarf that appears out of nowhere). I was honestly disappointed Bury the light didn't actually played when we first saw Vergil. I think it's because the song is wasn't released just yet or was tied to the vergil pack. Not really. The reboot only happened because Capcom at the time thought DMC4 should sell the same amount as Call of Duty and was shocked that it didn't. They wanted this niche hack and slash game (a genre that was starting to fall off) that was up until that point, a Playstation exclusive, to sell as good as the most popular FPS on the market. And they didn't even let the dev team finish the game. Capcom wasn't very smart during that time. If anything, DMC4SE is the one that kick started DMC5, as DMC4SE sold better than the reboot across the board. They basically held a popularity vote between the reboot and the original series and the original series won.

Taking Devil May Cry extremely seriously is a futility in of itself. While it does have some serious lore, it's also undercut by some ridiculous and stupid shit in other areas. This is also the same mistake Ninja Theory had when they attempted to reboot the game. So far, it hasn't turned out well for them and pissed off both old and new fans.

Dark souls would actually be enjoyable if the player character could more faster even in heavy armor based on stats or if stats scaled actual performance up like in some immersive sims , and yeah modders are probably the only ones that could do that since from soft is a collection of hack incompetend devs that coast on good PR and fanaticbase that somehow convinced ppl that their bad third person diablo clones were something original and "difficult". While there are some amazing weapon mods like vergils chair as a weapon mod , the hat is not a mod.. it is a mistake tho. Cinderblock pitbull no, that was a real thing, that got popular for a short while. Al capone thing was that he finally got busted for taxes and nothing else.
