Remember when Kirito first entered Alfheim, and commented how he hardly felt the pain cause it was "a children's game"? But Leafa here is screaming in pain when taking damage. That's not an inconsistency. Kirito was in such traumatic situations in SAO that this game feels weak, but non-SAO people still register this game's pain as real.

Honestly the sibling confrontation here was FAR better than the original. The original was just sweet home alabama and was barely addressed afterword.

I like how, when you look at it from hindsight, Suguha was being childish, blaming Kazuto for something that wasn't really his fault. But that's kind of the point. They are kids. They will get upset over things that can be seen as petty for us when we get older, but for them, it means a lot.

Just in case you missed it, Kurito was hitting the wall repeatedly because he hoped that there was a way to glitch through it. Apparently, there is a way to do that in Mario cart, and given how buggy AOL is, he had a point about the possibility.

Again still stand by the fact that Abridged Suguha is my favourite but THIS performance......god give the VA an award because she killed it. I mean that raw emotion, the power in her frustration and the realization of who Kirito is......seriously, this should be canon lol.

Dear god, this episode took 2 of the biggest squicks the original series had and got rid of them. First they replaced Asuna being molested by tentacles with her being f*ing terrifying to Shoji (though did you have to threaten the dog? The dog is innocent in this, Shoji is the ass). Then they took the incest plot and made it far more relatable, and a miscommunication plot that could and would happen between siblings. And SWE decided to just play that straight, no joke to break the tension, no playing the the ending, just silence. It's so freaking incredible.

Someone pointed this out in the comments of the actual video, they said fact that Kirito did not know what the term “Cake” meant when Leafu was referring to her getting shot “right on the cake”, meant that Kirito was left out of 2 years worth of internet “cultured” content and slang

I love the fact that kirito never once says ow, or recoils from pain, unlike suguha, because the pain levels in SAO were much higher.

They actually made the plot with his "sister" better. At first it was an incest subplot because they were cousins and she was originally upset because she fell in love with her cousin, which is kinda okish in japan for some reason. She judged herself for falling in love with Kazuto, tried to forget about it and move on but met Kirito in the game and fell in love again and had an emotional breakdown after it was revealed that is was Kazuto.

The original arc for Suguha is that she had feelings for her brother and knows that's not really ok so she's been playing ALO to get her mind off it, resulting in her outburst once she realizes the "Kirito" she's had the hots for is
