To make note: Phil Jackson, the assistant coach at the time, was rocking them. Teammates Craig Hodges and Charles Davis wearing them too.

The super high aching lefty floater/finger-roll at 34:04 should be on so many highlight reels, Just amazing touch with the left.

my favorite shoe ever. and i am talking specifically of this colorway by the way. literally took a lifetime to finally get them since i first laid my eyes on the 1999 retro as a 9 year old kid... then finally when they came out i think back in 2018 or 19 with the nike air again i made sure to pick up 2 pairs of them... one of them are still on ice...

I was a little boy in Chicago, I saw MJ hits the game winner Chicago over Cleveland in game 5 of THE 1989 NBA Playoffs.

People didn’t remember but MJ and Isaiah used to have great chemistry in these All Star games. At the same time, it also dispelled the myth that MJ couldn’t have played with a true pg.

hail yeah, zeke and mike woulda been an xcellent backcourt

I don't get where people would say that. MJ could play within a team offense since he played in one under Dean Smith at UNC. I do think he lost a little of that once he got to Chicago because the team was moribund and he was having to carry them for a bit.

MJ at his peak! 🐐
@dazdavis78969 ай бұрын
His peak is a year or two after this. 1990 & 1991 was MJ’s peak. Into 1992 as well; nobody put up more pts in a playoff run than Jordan did in ‘92. The 5’s through the 7’s in shoe terms was his peak. He was at his best in 1990, when he was wearin the white 5’s with the black tongue that he put up 69 pts in and wore the next season until the ‘91 all star game where he debuted the 6’s. His ‘91 and ‘92 playoff runs were crazy. He averaged like 31 pts and 11 assists in ‘91 he did everything. Then put up 35 pts in the ‘92 run.. He wasn’t quite at his peak yet here. A year later was peak MJ. 1990-1992.

AND 90. He dominated in 1990. And he went off in ‘91-‘93 too. Yeah he finally had a good team around him then, but nobody scored more in a playoff run than MJ in ‘92. He dominated every year.

Such a true champion heart, nobody has his desire level to win in any sports, post game interview against cavs speak for itself! In MJ carrier in 80's we talks a lot about pistons bad boys in PO but damn cavs was really good team with tough D, and the knicks also, eastern conference was really tough in MJ era

08:04 The defensive play MJ made, the high tip on the passing lane and then the safe roll on the court to break the fall..I mean you talk about greatness! There is not one baseball player on the planet that wanted it badder than MJ, while also being able to deliver on queue!!
