Great video. One tip: you are supposed to fill the airbags BEFORE you load up the suspension (then reduce pressure as needed). They will still work the way you did it, but as you can see, your rig will still squat, filling the bags first prevents the squat.

@@algeradventures4891 thanks for the response. I think you mentioned it only gives 1/2" of lift, is that correct?
@algeradventures48914 жыл бұрын
Yes, but since then I have put a hockey puck in the coil bucket under the air bag and I now get just under an inch of lift when fully loaded

Hey man, Great videos with great info! 👍 I've got a 2006 Pathy I'm looking to turn into a hunting buggy. If I install moog coils to get heavier suspension etc and and do the lift with the 2x2 steel square bars that you already did a video on should I bother with air bags? 🤔 thanks!
@wolf2016.2 жыл бұрын
Dude thanks for the video.... Where did you buy the bolts for the lift as the pitch is 1.5 but long bolts not available at all.

just to clarify; the addition of the airbags to the suspension lifted the truck?
@algeradventures48914 жыл бұрын
Ryan Doobay, the air bags are to help your rear end not to squat as much when you have a load. So in away it lifts the suspension but not much over stock height

I’ve been thinking about getting this body style pathfinder. Atm I have a Honda Accord but want something bigger. What has been your experience with yours?
@algeradventures48914 жыл бұрын
Tyler Rupert, I love my Pathfinder. It is big enough for my family and dogs, it has a optional third row that folds down flat. The power train is in all of Nissan's mid size trucks. Its a very underestimated off road vehicle. I have not been disappointed in this vehicle, i wish i got one sooner.

Hi, what about your feedback 3 years later with this AirLift 1000 on your R51? Thanks in advance for any answer!
@keithmuckchucker6468 Жыл бұрын
you supposed to run a separate valve for each side or else the air will move from side to side and can damage the airbag when on uneven ground or cornering

Hey Danny! Questions for you. I have the same year and I have a bad problem with my Pathy pulling anytime I hit a crack or little pot hole in the road going over 50mpgs. I have changed out the shock absorbers and new tired but still. Even without towing. I bought these airlifts but I was curious to know if I can keep them inflated all the time?
@algeradventures48914 жыл бұрын
Yes you can, I leave them at about 15psi for normal daily driving

Question. You mentioned putting armada springs in? Would they give lift to the pathfinder or is it just a heavy duty spring?
@algeradventures48914 жыл бұрын
Juan Henriquez, they do both. Most people buy the Moog ones and cut about a inch of coil off to get a 2" lift and they are a heavier spring that can hold more weight

I wanted to ask you a question because you have done alot of suspension work on your pathfinder.I have a stock 2006 Pathfinder se 4x4 since new, 122,000 miles. I just replaced front struts and sway bar end links and sway bar bushing.I had a noise from front suspension before and figured it was the end links.We drove it for 100 miles and no noise.Now it started making noises from the front again. I retightened the sway bar bolts last night and my wife let me know it making type clunking noise from front but can't tell from where......any suggestions?
@algeradventures48914 жыл бұрын
Stephen Margetjak, that's what I would have started with too. If you think it's still coming from the sway bar links I would disconnect and remove the whole bar and links and drive it to see if it goes away. If you still have the noise then it could be the front arms since they are a rubber bushing that doesn't pivot they flex. If they are worn out the whole arm will move while the bushing stays put. And that could be any of the front uppers or lowers. Another thing it could be is the rear sway bar links and the sound is traveling down the frame and making it sound like it is coming from the front. Disconnecting the rear and driving it after you try the front would be easier to rule out the rear than trying to go right to the front arms. Let me know what you find.
@PGXPPR2 жыл бұрын
If you have not found it yet it would guess bushings. I replaced my whole front end chasing a clunking noise and all I found was busted bushings

I wanted to show another option on how to lift the rear. I do plan on changing the rear springs out eventually for a lift spring

Alger Adventures So I decided to go with the same set up that you have with the sub frame and a 2 1/2 inch lift on the front and after doing that I’m getting a lot of vibration when I get to 65 mph any ideas of what caused this did you had the same problem?
@algeradventures48913 жыл бұрын
Isacur1027 no I didn't have any vibrations sheet doing my lift. Is it in the steering wheel and did you get it aligned yet

Did you rotate your tires will installing your lift

Alger Adventures So I found out what the problem was there is a bracket with the hook that keeps the body to lifting from the suspension 😝 I totally forgot to take that barker off
