Being able to charge AirPods Pro using the Apple Watch charger actually makes perfect sense because a lot of people charge their Apple Watch at night and their AirPods during the day, so this is one instance where you actually only need one charger for two devices.

Super helpful video! I am most definitely upgrading to the 2nd gen AirPods Pro 2! The one thing I don’t see being talked about is the single hole on the bottom left side of the charging case. Every time the case speaker is mentioned, I only see the three holes on the right side being pointed out. Do you think that single hole is part of the speaker on the case, or could it be a microphone hole? Also, when do you think we are likely to see the 2nd gen AirPods Max?

I just got the AirPods Pro 1 from Best Buy for $50CAD off and it was totally worth it. The only thing I wish I had from the new models is the volume control, but given I always wear an Apple Watch that is barely an issue for me. Transparency mode and noise cancelling are both amazing and they sound great! Easily the best (and most expensive) earbuds I've ever owned!

I did hope, as you once postulated, that Apple would replace Bluetooth with UWB as the advantages and potential are huge and lossless would only have been a part of that. As with Apple at their best, the entire industry would have been scrambling to catch up. Maybe it was due to the chip shortage. Who knows? Some features like the volume control are great but the truth is, after such a long wait, this was a disappointing update.

at beginning, it’s true that the airpods pro second gen is a great choice for me because i met some problems with the original airpods pro like the crackling sound but i already have a static noise during my replacement of it but now, in terms of fonctionality , the sound quality and the volum control, i think this upgrade is so minimalist and i believe that i musten’t spend so money because the product is very expensive finally, i think that the original airpods pro update will bring and support the volume control on earbuds themselves like the other functions because i remember that the noise cancellation was some lost at each update and the 2 x time better will welcome 🙏

5:20 You can also change the volume with your apple watch. I have the airpods pro revision w/ magsafe and wont be upgrading to the 2's until my current ones break again. I got mine last year cyber monday and it recently developed that crackling noise thats pretty common to the pros. Luckily im still under warranty, but when that ends and they break ill update since the current replacement program only covers pros made up to Oct 2020.

Surely an easy choice if it was lossless . But after considering the amount of time I have to go through and sometimes ridiculous panic just to find my AirPods Pro, I’m probably just upgrading here. But I do hope with the U1 it is able to detect which device to switch better, as of now if I’m using my phone and I have another which is being used by my partner, the audio tends to switch back and fourth between my two devices. @@loffed3593 normally there’s lot of compression and lost data, especially with Bluetooth connections, so not all of the audio will reach your ear. Lossless negates this by having all data reach you uncompressed. Really only matters if you have really high end headphones or speakers that support high fidelity

I pre-ordered the Pros 2 and am just waiting for them to come in. I have the original Pros and got them replaced when they both started crackling. They also took a swim in my washer and now have some white noise when using transparency mode right when I take them out of the case. After I toggle to “Normal” mode, then back to “transparency”, the white noise goes away. Definitely need an upgrade

The reason for this is because the surface area of the AirPods max covers more ear whereas the pros simply fit in your ear allowing less coverage. With that being said the pros noise canceling is nowhere near as good as the maxes. Just telling you this so you aren’t disappointed.

I’ll be upgrading from my original AirPods Pro. Mainly for noise cancellation purposes. I’m autistic and high level volumes are super sensitive to me. Having improved noise cancellation would be great. I also have small ears so the smaller tips are great too. The extra features just benefit enough. With my originals I sometimes lose the case so the ability to find them with an app is beneficial for me. Though I still am a little pulled about the decision but I think more than likely I will end up getting them. I’ll wait for others experiences and opinions about them after they come out too to make extra sure

I preordered a set of Pro 2’s. I tend to wait things out a few years before entering the market. Wasn’t a fan of wireless ear pods a few years back, but now I’ve warmed up to them since I take a lot of calls these days and it’s a pain to lug my connected earbuds around. That being said…what’s the expected battery life before they start becoming noticeably limited? I’m not talking about 12 hours a use a day; maybe 2-4hrs a day at best? Also, it’s said that the batteries aren’t replaceable. Is that just an apple thing or could I source the batteries myself and replace them myself (provided I’m handy)? Or are there complicated micro solders that will be impossible to do oneself?

Personally, I lost my AirPods Pro a couple months ago and so I just got a replacement one. However, one day, one of the buds fell out of the case and I didn’t notice when I was getting into my car and I ran over it. So I had to get another replacement. Thanks to the Apple Watch, the lack of volume control is no longer as annoying. They keep falling out even with small ear tips especially the left side. Maybe I need the xs. I guess the wireless charging just isn’t available on the original pros because no wireless charger works for mine and in-spite the great well needed battery life, I always forget to charge my case which stays on my keychain. I might appreciate some of the new features.

AirPods Pro user who has a pair one month out of their recall they did a while back. Crackle and static when using both pods at the same time. Want to upgrade for volume control and battery, just frustrated how they handled the recall that was larger than they would admit to.

My airpods pro make a very loud, annoying crackling noise whenever noise cancellation or transparency mode is on, likely due to an issue with the microphone. I also lose my case quite often and have always wanted volume control, so i think it will be worth the upgrade for me.

You should get the apple support app and go into the chat support. There’s a service program for crackling with ANC/transparency. You’ll be asked about updating your iphone and airpods and they have to have been manufactured before October 2020 You get a free replacement/repair :)

My AirPods Pro are a little over a year old and still in good condition as they have been lightly used. Even though I don’t use them a heck of a lot they are still very useful when I need them which has been increasing since I no longer have phone through my car, part of me says there is no reason to upgrade to the Pro 2 but There are just enough improvements in the 2 to temp me, most of all the Improved battery life.

I'm curious to know if the LE audio feature would allow seamless switching between iPhone and Macs with these AirPods Pro as mentioned in a description of the benefits of Bluetooth 5.3? No Macs currently support 5.3, even the latest Macbook Air M2, so I'm curious to know if a the receiving devices also need to be on 5.3 to make this feature happen or if it's the AirPods themselves that make this possible. Switching between Mac and iPhone has been the most frustrating thing about AirPods, it means that I had to buy the Airbuddy app as a workaround. If this feature would work with the latest M1 abs M2 Macs that alone might make it worth the upgrade

Yes I would be interested to know about the Bluetooth compatibility & switching between other Apple products too. It’s an expensive purchase for me $399 where I live & I’m an older person so would like the uses to be as easy as possible for me 😊

The volume thing is super clutch the most annoying thing is while working having to grab phone with dirty hands to change volume

So if they do switch iPhone to usb type c next year and buy these new AirPods, you’re stuck with this case unless you buy next year’s model with usb type c. Or is it a ruse that apple won’t be upgrading iPhone to usb type c?

Unfortunately, this thing does not support lossless audio. He only has Bluetooth 5.3, and Bluetooth 5.3 also needs to be used with the iPhone 14 series.

I preordered my AirPods Pro 2 as a few months ago I had an unfortunate accident. At work I dropped one out of my ear and it fell down a drain. I was contemplating on getting a replacement for it but just decided to wait for these to come out since it was only a few months away

I’m upgrading from AirPods 3. I been waiting for longer battery life for AirPods since my AirPods 3 lasts 8 hours in a singles charge. Even though they advertised it only lasts for 6 hours. Lol. And of course the noise cancelling.

I was really hoping they would make them a bit smaller. Cause they pop right out of my ear socket with any chewing, movement, talking, etc. Ugh so annoying.

Hi i am thinking of ordering the airpods pro 2 for my 13 pro max,, i know this video is about apple watches but lately ive been eyeing the new airpods bc of its updated internals!! as Vadim said, bluetooth 5.3 means it would have better audio quality when paired with another bluetooth 5.3 device like the new iphone 14 pro.. does this mean the audio quality would be substantially worse if the new airpods are paired with bluetooth 5.0 capable devices ?? Thanks just wanted a clarification !!

In general, I don't like that Apple pushes marketing on ECO, but on the other hand, they sell wireless headphones without the possibility of replacing the battery. That's not very ecological Apple.

I have the first ones still in the plastic wrap, I had them for Christmas couple years ago. Do I try and sell them and go for the 2 or Do I just open them and use them and they will be fine?

I do not feel that the noise isolation on the Air Pods Pro G1 work well. Hopefully the G2 will work much better. It may be nice to be able to select the amount or even type of noise cancellation.

Dynamic noise canceling, BT 5.3, touch volume. UWB. Better audio. They check everything. I don’t care about lossless. I’ll upgrade

The AirPods Pro 2 have 48 KHz audio which is the same bandwidth as lossless so shouldn’t it support it? Maybe not currently but perhaps in future updates?

My issue with my airpods pro is the background noise cancellation during phone calls. It's just terrible for such a product. Many times if I'm calling, the person on the other side hears the traffic or people around me more than my voice. I couldn't believe it, but then I noticed the same when my friends called me with their airpods pro ! How can this be acceptable?? Is it gonna be better on the new model pro 2? Do you also have this problem? I feel nobody talks about it, but it's quite an important feature for headphones😅

They new AirPods Pro still don't have the battery life or sound quality on the Sony XM4 earbuds but I wonder if they're on part or maybe even better in terms of ANC and Mic quality? Call quality wise the OG AirPods Pro are still solid but no longer the best by any means

Air pods 3rd gen the ones without the silicone tips and air pods 3rd gen are way better then the pros bir the pros gen 2 and air pods 3rd gen are great
