I was hoping that you noticed this, but the Institute does truly send everything in this Battle! For example, if the Synth Virus dies, they will just send another. and during the Battle they even relay in Synth Gorillas! Seeing a Synth Gorilla fighting a Power Armored BoS Knight was so funny when I first saw it!

Yes, and I wish I knew when I found him/ when I subbed lol. It’s been a really long time, I found Ox when I fell in love with fallout NV I believe, and it was his voice that I liked so much when he told the stories. A lot of moments are better at night. When you first find Nick and he's looking up at a sky full of stars and commenting on the commonwealth sky. The first time you see the Prydwen flying into the Commonwealth. Thankfully when I played through the first time those moments were.

It's pretty heavily implied in fallout 3 that he's becoming or IS sentient. I know that wouldn't effect the institutes decision, ethics (especially involving robots) has never concerned them. Still, imagine what's going through his mind? Already he has given his "life" to protect the brotherhood, the only thing he might even remotely consider family. They brought him to life not once, but almost twice. Being forced to destroy them...I dunno man. I always felt like there was more going on under the hood with prime, if you get my meaning.

I would like to bring to your attention though, that the BOS hood can also be found on a raider inside the Saugus Ironworks factory. It usually a 50/50 chance it spawns on the first raider with the Flamer you come across at the main entrance to the factory. Ad Victoriam.

I've played FO4 so many times and I missed it almost every time but Sergeant Gavel also has a unique set of power armor which is the sergeant power armor paint scheme that you can get from this fight as well.

I was playing the mission today, for the institute. I never noticed the Institute sends in the Synth Gorillas, in the battle. You know how confused the BOS would be, By that tactic. None of The BOS has probably ever seen a Gorilla, then the Institute just teleports them in to fight.

i was lookong for a comment abt that lol how dare she assume we were having a "peaceful sleep"? we witnessed a bomb being dropped that effectively destroyed over half of everything the sole survivor ever knew, and were led into cryo chambers during the midst of complete panic, shock, and fear. than woken up just to be forced to watch their husband/ wife murdered and child taken. then re frozen until 60 years later (which we didnt even know, adding to the heartbreak that you didnt even get time with your son), where you collapse on the ground after finally getting out of our "little comfy sleep" and learning that all your neighbors are gone, everyone is gone and the world is littered with remains of what was.

Being a soldier, the sole survivor WOULD know about Liberty Prime, he just WOULD NOT know that Liberty Prime has survived the Great War and that the Brotherhood is in possession of it UNLESS they had been in the area of Boston Airport, recognized it from before the Great War and seen it in Brotherhood hands. So to say when he's talking to Dr Li he would know nothing of it could be wrong under those circumstances. Side note: Liberty Prime wasn't a secret, THEY HAD POSTERS EVERYWHERE PROMOTING IT!

Like any Captain worthy of his rank, Kells likely died with his ship, being vaporized on impact. I like to think that's why I never found his corpse in any of my playthroughs after I inevitably end up duking it out with the BoS.

Something that makes you feel bad somebody came back to the airship and found Proctor Ingram standing at the wreckage and when he walked up to her, she disappeared basically meaning that the ghost of Proctor Ingram is now stuck at the Boston airport never able to leave

Assuming as the MM General you have emplacement cannon at all surrounding settlements, climb the parking garage and throw an artillery grenade into the BOS perimeter. No more BOS left. Then run to Liberty Prime and toss another Artillery grenade at the Logistics end of the perimeter when the BOS responds. Toss a synthetic beacon at the base of the scaffolding and one to the perimeter entrance and the fight is nearly over.

You missed some unique loot oxhorn! At the generator at the top of the stairs where the helipad is, knight sergeant gavil (is supposed to but sometimes doesn’t) spawns, and he has the unique knight sergeant power armor paint. 1 detail I find funny about this is that you can get more BOS power armor paint by siding against the brotherhood than by siding with them. Theres 7 BOS paints. Initiate (next to impossible to get normally) knight knight sergeant (knight sergeant gavil) knight captain (knight captain larsen) paladin sentinel Elder You can only can get knight sergeant, and elder by siding against the BOS, but you can only get sentinel by siding with them. So you can have more BOS armors siding against them than with them, LOL.

@@hellcat1401 i got all 6 of the ones you can in my game where I sided with the institute. Knight captain you can only get by informing the brotherhood about Acadia in the far harbor DLC, you meet up with knight captain Larsen, and you have you pick pocket him. (because you cant kill him) if you dont want to destroy Acadia, You can just simply not talk to him, and when you betray the brotherhood, you’ll lose the misc mission. That’s what I did anyway, I suppose if you side with the brotherhood it would remain a misc mission forever unless you destroy acadia with the BOS, or destroy it some other way. Initiate is, well, complicated. You can only get it in the nukaworld dlc, you have to be under level 50 or something like that. At the morton residence there’s a suit of leveled power armor, if you’re there under level 50, you can potentially get pieces of power armor that don’t even make sense being there (elder, sentinel, regular BOS) including initiate, you have to save outside the house (far enough away so it actually resets) and go to the power armor to get the pieces you want, however getting a FULL suit of initiate is next to impossible because of all the permutations of different potential power armor pieces for each individual piece, the initiate, appearance wise, looks the exact same as the regular knight paint except the left arm BOS symbol is different, so what I do is only go for BOS initiate left arm, and when I put it on my power armor, I just get regular BOS knight plates to complete the set.

I tried once but hit a glitch that wouldn't let me progress along that story line. I didn't want to go back to my last hard save before the glitch and lose almost 15 levels. My fallback was BoS, but I'd alienated them. Ended up with the Minutemen.

This battle is the only spawning spot for Knight Rhys during the second half of the battle. The battle itself is incredibly complex & dangerous involving almost all important members of the BOS as well as Elder Maxin where he will appear with his power armour. Good things about this battle, tons of loots to gain and the BOS is essentially wipe off the map of the commonwealth.

If im being honest, that's a nice theory, but wouldn't it just make more sense that since he was in charge of piloting the ship, wouldn't he just remain on the bridge of the prydwyn until it was too late to escape? I'm assuming the Brotherhood wouldn't know what the Institute's goal with Liberty Prime was, just that they wanted it for themselves.

The Institute thinks that by killing off the Brotherhood in Boston will scare them away, but I don't think that's going to work. If anything, it's just going to show the Brotherhood elsewhere that this threat needs to be dealt with. And by any means necessary.

@Singeferno I actually totally support that, I'm sure that there's been communication between the East and West Coast Brotherhood since the appointment of Maxson as Elder. It only stands to reason that eventually, the West Coast Brotherhood will master teleportation thanks to the Sole Survivor's plans from Virgil, and they'll come to avenge their fallen brethren.

And heck they should see that since they let her and that other scientist from the Common Wealth in. Also Kellogg could have told them all about the NCR and other growing factions that showed the Institute that they weren't the center of the universe and that Mankind isn't just going to die out and is thriving without them.

The Institure says that synths aren't human, they are machines. Father says they are machines. The Institute and Father say that the Institute is all about mankind's future. Before Father was Director, the Institute consciously decided to not help the Commonwealth. Before Father was Director, they were interested in making synthetic humans more than furthering mankind. When Father was Director, the Institute continued to not focus on human development, even stating that people like Kellog were not their interest. But still they focus on synthetics. Father keeps on wanting to develop synthetics. Father wanted to keep the FEV lab creating supermutants. I've never seen anything that the Institute does that actually promotes "mankind", it only helps the Institute with it's own interests. Still snatching people, still pushing syhths...how does this advance mankind? It advances the Institute. Every faction in FO4 is deluded at best and self-serving at worst. There are no "good guys".

If you shoot Maxson's fusion core when he is wearing his power armor. He will get out of it and you can take it. It is a unique power armor frame with Maxsons name on it. It will be red so it considered stealing if you take it as well as the power armor pieces that are still on it at the time

Whenever I've done a playthrough where I end up destroying the Brotherhood, I always feel remorse when I kill Haylen, Danse, and Quinlen, but feel oddly overjoyed to take out Rys and Maxson. As for the other named Brotherhood members, to this day I have never gotten a single shot off on them, though not for lack of trying with Kells. And during my first Railroad run, which I ended up playing for a rather substantial length after destroying the Prydwyn, my final outfit ended up being Maxson's Battlecoat, Kells' hat, and a pair of wraparound goggles (my personal favorite eyewear in the game). That outfit, coupled with an upgraded Railway Rifle, combat shotgun, fully upgraded .50cal sniper rifle, and Final Judgement, I'd ended up being the ultimate Railroad Heavy, codename 'Professor'. My personal headcanon of encountering enemies who hear that codename for the first time was this: "They call you 'Professor'? What are you a professor of?" "Actually, I wanted the title of 'Master', but that was denied at gunpoint. But to answer your question..." {unloads entire loadout into enemy} "Overkill."

Oxhorn....Nate was in the Military. He may have learned about Prime there. As far as I know, theres not much info on his Military backround. So, hypothetically we could apply that here to make sense of Nate knowing about Liberty Prime.

Another interesting fact about this quest is that if you have recruited Paladin Brandis back into the brotherhood, he will also show up during the fight. And (vague Spoiler) if Danse dies for any reason, he will not appear in the fight.

​@@galacticknight55544 Liberty Prime was a big propaganda piece for the US during Operation Anchorage and the Public knew about it. Additionally, cut content that doesn't contradict any in-game information implies Nora was a military lawyer so she'd probably know if Nate did too.

As far as the story goes to this point, as acting director of the institute, are you a leader or a puppet? Since your appointment there have been two major decisions made and both you have really had zero say in save a few inconsequential logistical choices... Makes me wonder are we really meant to be the driving decision maker being the next Father, or are we pretty much the next Kellog; being the spearhead connection of the institute to the outside world? Could Father be possibly playing you to keep thier hands clean hence the reason for them releasing you from Vault 111? Maybe even fabricating the whole terminally ill diagnoses to convince you to believe you truly are essential to taking the torch from Father to ensure the success of the Institute. Father foreshadowed asking if you could love your son version of Sean, i think that is going to play into a hidden course of action by the institute and you could very well be the subject of a highly classified experiment in conjunction with being deployed to enforce the institutes will on the Commonwealth, especially knowing your insider ties to the faction surrounding them on the outside world ... Could just be me thinking radically playing into conspiracy... Guess i will find out throughout these videos

I’m getting to this video later then I’d like but this was interesting to me to actually see that elder Maxson actually fights against the institute. I have a new look in what the institute is but I’m still not sure I’d side with them as I don’t agree with everything that they stand for.

Well let me put it this way, they are a blatant reference to the Tyrell corporation from blade runner(even the name Father is a reference). It pretty much has the Orwellian feel to it and that’s what the institute wants. Even though father doesn’t give you a massive essay like Caesar does(pretty much a “villain monologue”), You can tell by their actions that they have similar goals to the Tyrell corporation. To constantly run deadly experiments and use the surface as a playground(not caring about civilian casualties. which they’ve done already)
