As almost always it's the friends and family that pisses me off the most in stories liks this. It's disgusting how they so often turn on the victim, demands that the victim just suck the abuse up, forgive and forget, or else he or she will be labeled an AH and toxic. The victim is rewarded with more abuse - from friends and family no less - for standing up to abuse. Disgusting.

Nah, she will be testing all nice guys (in her opinion) but she will not do that to bad boys (because there she cant win with that)...she will be doing that untill shes 40 with three kids from three daddies

Play stupid games win stupid prizes. Relationship tests are immature and ultimately scream that you do not trust your other half to begin with. Fighting for someone is choosing to love them every day, even when things are tough and even when you feel you have nothing left to give. Not playing into immature whims of the other person. There is no love in any form of manipulation . I met my now, husband at 17, and we have been together for 18 years, married for 11 of them. If he pulled this on me back then he wouldn't have lasted a week. Op may want to consider talking therapies, such as conselling, down the line, as it sounds like he does have some emotional damage from what happened to him in the past. But he is not wrong to setting a hard boundary on emotional manipulation and making it a deal breaker. If this was the man doing the test, no one would blink twice at the woman running for the hills.

NTA because 'testing' someone is incredibly childish. However, the whole 'I will never be vulnerable and let a girl make me cry again' shtick is just... dude. You can't go through life stonewalling and living like a rock. Well I mean you could, just wouldn't be great for you emotionally.

Actually it would be fine. Thats what men are supposed to do. Be stoic and never let a woman see you cry. They cant feel a safe and protected by a man who cries. They cant feel arousal for a man who cries.

This is an incredible retarded take. Females will use a man's emotions against them all the time. As a man you cannot show any female emotions whether it's your mother, sister, co workers, gf / fiancé / wife. It's a no go.
