I agree with Train Guy. Suddenly, I see new possibilities and I actually understand what to do. Märklin has a problem with English and my German is lousy. And then I am Danish and live in France. LOL.

Shouldn't you have the cs3 in stop mode while making the m84 connections?

It never hurts to put the CS3 in STOP mode, but in this case it is not needed.
