As someone else said (someone with 100s of hours in Viggen) : the inlets is with a running engine very good at sucking things dropped from the cockpit into the fan, so : never run the engine or start while the canopy is up !

You could use the radio preselect knobs and kneeboard to select your landing or starting airfield frequency. If you look at the kneeboard there is one page called "Airbases" that has the maps airbases and and a number in front of each. Now hover over the Viggens radio panel with all the buttons and there are two knobs if you hover over them one says "Base Selector", this is the one for the airbases. Just turn that knob until the number of the airbase you want to communicate with comes up then it's pre-selected look on the knee-board list again and you'll see there's a letter in front of a frequency for that base and that those letters corresponds to buttons on the radio panel. Press any of those and you can communicate with the base you selected on the knob. The other knob says "Group Selector" go into the previous page on your knee-board and there is a page named Radio Channels and further down it says Groups, every item under "Groups" has a number that is formatted like this "2-1" what you do is you set the knob to the first number (in this case 2) and press the corresponding 0-9 button on the radio panel for the second number. These things can be good to set up on the ground.

Anyone who knows how to adjust pitch trim to 3 (in case of having external fuel tanks)?
