Once again, another great video man! I'd love to get a tutorial on making a song the linear way you mentioned as well. That's the next big thing I want to try and tackle. Great work, and thank you!

Great tutorial fella. Mine comes tomorrow and cant wait to get started. I had a little play around with Reason and a midi keyboard many years ago and made a few basic tunes . This all in one system seems much more intuitive tbh . I have been a dj for many years so know that should stand me in good stead for arranging sequences and creating something acceptable (Eventually). Feel like a kid waiting for santa lol.

Thank you for this very informative video which explains more of the functionality of this amazing production tool in the MPC Key 37! It was a treat to watch you move around with ease and confidence on what has been a struggle for me as a new owner as this is my first MPC instrument. I look forward to more videos like this from you and have a particular interest in breaking down recording vocals with effects and harmony as a producer artist.

I am Obviously a Newby... In the Manual , I could not even get how to get drums loaded... (Since You have to be in the Main Record Screen).. Your Tutorial was the First Time I Understood that Workflow !!!! Thankyou So Much for Your Sequencer Demonstration .. Looking Forward to the Song mode Tutorial.. Jerry

Great tutorial! Not only does it explain all the functionality very well, it also give some insight in the creative process. One question though: did you forget to quantize your kick, snare and hats or was that deliberately turned off? I saw that you wanted to turn on the quantization for the hats, but it wasn't actually on.
@danbunge97872 ай бұрын
Thanks for the video. I feel that the drum track would sound more realistic if you triggered the open hi hat before or after the snare hit.

very good tutorial ! What do you think about using a fader mixer like Korg nanokontrol or others? Because I think mixing with knobs is a bit strange

What sustain pedal are you using. I have necktar sustain pedal and bought this keyboard 2 weeks ago. Im runin 3.0? Sustain pedals is not working with this keyboard. What going on is it the beta version or just the keys?(i tried changing polarities and also have got no response from akai)
@DSoundman2 ай бұрын
I use a Yamaha FC4A with no issues. That said, I haven’t upgraded to BETA 3 yet, so not sure if that’s the issues you’re seeing.

Are i able to show preference settings for sustain pedal?
@DSoundman2 ай бұрын
Unfortunately I can’t post a picture in the comments. I’ve never changed any settings though, I’ve always plugged my Yamaha FC4A sustain pedal in and it works fine every time.

Can I hook a midi drum up to this if you are not good at finger drumming using drum sticks instead of using your fingers
@DSoundman8 ай бұрын
You probably could via MIDI, but you may have to change the notes your drum pads are triggering or change where the drum sounds are assigned to notes in the MPC to get them to line up correctly. I’ve done this in the past with virtual drums and an electronic kit and it lined up perfectly, but not sure if that would be the case with the MPC.

Sorry to ask such a simple question here, but can you simply just sample using this device, ie, plugin an audio source and capture it? Thanks

I have a question and a problem...I made a beat and somehow it got mixed up but I like the new beat too..is there anyway I can save the new beat without getting rid of the original beat???@Dsoundman?
@DSoundman8 ай бұрын
Yes! Do a “Save As” by holding shift and pressing on the Save/Save As button and then pick a place to put it. Or go into the menu and choose Save As instead of Save.
