His emotional falsetto, unique resonance of his body, created a new different 'color' in the sound of a soul singer. PERFECTION skinny body, and soul which oozed out his pores with every note, cemented him into fabric of Soul soul music.. Memphis, and Motown. I loved. The instrumentation and arrangements of those early songs, cemented and syndicated him into something totally unique.

Believe it or not, in his January 3, 1973 appearance on "Soul!" he wears the same jacket. In order, they are: "Let's Stay Together", "Tired Of Being Alone", "Look What You Done For Me", "How Can You Mend A Broken Heart", "Judy." and "Love and Happiness."
