At 74 years young -this song is dangerous for me to listen to - I want to dance so bad -but have to be content to tapping my foot because my hip goes out every time I give in. Peace and Love all from Alabama.

I wasn’t born in the 70’s. I was born in the 90’s. In 1972 the movie “Blood In Blood Out” came out with his directer of film Taylor Hackford & they played this song when Paco Aguilar takes revenge. Ever since I was a kid I always wanted to listen to this specific song I didn’t know how to search up music back then. It’s been 30 years that have pass and up til now i get to listen to this song. It’s in the time of God 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Had to see him live when I was about 17. My dad saw his album cover, shirtless with all those gold chains. My dad, stern, but loving, saw how much it meant to me and I played him a few of Al's most popular songs and he relented. Glad he did. Glad I was living in this time of great music. Anyone who thinks there was a great racial divide in music with the fans was wrong. Maybe with critics or radio stations or promoters, but Motown songs were blaring from everyone's car white and black If music is great, it doesn't matter who sings it.
