OK I’ve heard this song many times honestly in my opinion this is a 10 out of 10 song because of the great message in the song and also the great voice of the country music legend that is Mr. Alan Jackson

Alan is an artist who lets the words touch the soul. He understands the music allows us to reflect on what the song truly means. The words linger on a loop long after the song ends.

Ive had a tough 3-4 years. I refused to prosecute my ex wife for what she has done to me personally. But this song is true about life, you know who is there for you. Fundamentally she has lied and lied and im no longer to see my son. But in thoughts im there for him and we will be reunited soon. Suffering a breakdown I love listening to Garth and Alan. They make me smile Thank you

AJ writes 99.9% of what he records; he's one of the best poets of our time....hands down. Out of ALL he's put out, I believe this is probably my favorite. In regards to this reaction ---- Surely hits home, don't it? The honesty within every reference is hard-hitting. Btw....10+ 🥰

Being from the UK I only got into Country music later in life, (My 60s actually) Better late than never, now three of my favorite voices are US Country singers, Alan Jackson, Willie Nelson, and the late great George Jones! What a tune this is!

Alan Jackson is the reigning king of country music right now. He always stood up for real country. His last album was a huge international hit (chartswise and artistically), even over here in Europe: Germany (no. 44, which is just insane for an american traditional country artist, but the country genre in general), Switzerland, and I think even Austria. Australia too. England, number 1 or 2. I was happy to see this. He deserves his praise. And this song has so much truth and depth. Was the truest song on the album (besides the ones he wrote for his mother and daughters. But for me it was).

As an aside: there are 3 traditional country music artists battling COVID: David Allan Coe, Johnny Rodriguez, and T.G.Sheppard (and his wife Kelly Lang). If you have time to salute these guys with one of their songs it would be great.

Sally, where do you find any country news. I did see that Chris Stapleton cancelled some shows, but not because of Covid. I know Johnny isn't in the best of health. I hope they all recover.

Enjoyed the review, I believe this song came out a few years ago and I only recently found it myself. It's a truly deep/emotional song and I agree with another comment that it probably means more to someone when they are middle age. I turn 50 next month and this song really hits me....I would say it's probably in my top 5 all time songs.

The older I get the more things to pile up. In a year of being diagnosed with Primary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis, I went through a bout of colon cancer that cost me a foot or so of my intestines. That was nineteen years ago and now the heavy hitters have begun swinging their Louisville Sluggers. Last year a heart attack found me getting a stent and this year under the gun to replace that stent which was 100% blocked during a three-way bypass heart surgery. This began a full year of a leaky incision that just wouldn't heal. Several surgeries later than another battle was on my hands when MRSA and Strep paid me an unwelcome visit. The Lord isn't finished with me yet because I'm still getting older. Thank you, Lord, I believe that I can still blow out a few more candles.
