There is so much truth in this song. My last decade has been a rocky road to say the least. In 2012 I lost my wife to a rare cancer. She was only 41. One of my best friends helped me get through the first few years after my wife's death. But then he passed away from heart failure at 56 years old. A couple of years after this my younger brother died from a pulmonary embolism at age 45. When we are young we don't appreciate human mortality as much as we do when we begin to get older. We do lose friends and loved ones as we age. It makes us appreciate those around us even more. Great song by a great artist. Enjoy the channel! I recommend another George Jones song for you Tasha: WINDOW UP ABOVE. Keep up the good work.

I love to sit back and pop a top off a beer and listen to this song sitting out the deck just by myself and listen and my mind starts to ply back my life from the time I got married to my wife still married to this day that is now a lot of years having the kids and watching them grow up and start families of their own and the grandkids and just makes me smile and think yeah he is right I have had good life.
