Fun fact: The song “THE DINER” isn’t actually written from Billie Eillish’s POV. The song is rather written in the perspective of one of her own stalkers. As she has risen to fame, Billie has encountered various stalkers. In a recent interview on her song “THE DINER”, Billie recalls two specific encounters she’s had with some of her past stalkers. The first was with a stalker that camped outside across the street from her parent’s house, watching them through the window of their home. Billie Eilish filed a 5-year restraining order against this stalker in 2021. The second stalker she recounts sending countless messages to her and her family, in which the stalker confesses his love for her. Both of these stories are clearly reflected in the lyrics for “THE DINER”. Ironically, “THE DINER” is the only song on the album that Billie does not reference in the album closer “BLUE”. Some think this may be Billie’s way of not giving her stalkers the attention that they seek from her.

Usually finneas was at the board and billie at the couch, now it’s the other way around. Finneas gave billie so much creative freedom and only speak when billie needs a bit fixing
@nomadine853 ай бұрын
I think it’s so ironic that people were sleeping on Finneas at the beginning when he was more involved and now that Billie is taking the lead people keep banging on about Finneas even more so than about Billie. Did you see the amount of times the brunette exclaimed Finneas at the beginning? I’ve been observing this trend in reactors and even interviewers, and I’m kinda disappointed (annoyed, really, to be honest).
@bekahsk20113 ай бұрын
@@nomadine85 i think this might be a little unfair on bonny. They are not Billie stans, they just seem to enjoy her music - they are not active fans. They will assume that because Finneas has been producing all of billies music thus far, that it remains a similar dynamic on HMHAS. Only in very recent interviews, which Bonny/Emily may not have seen - has Billie spoken about being much more in control of production. Also - Finneas got producer of the year the year of WWAFAWDWG and therefore wasn't slept on.... and loved now, he is just more present in some interviews and therefore talked about more than before
@nomadine853 ай бұрын
@@bekahsk2011 Yeah, I see what you mean. I am more so annoyed in general, not at them in particular. And I know he won producer of the year, I don’t think that he’s slept on as a producer especially not by the industry. But reactors and fans used to often say that Finneas deserves more “general public” recognition, and I totally agreed. But overall I’ve just been noticing a shift. I don’t think it’s because he’s in more interviews because he has been for a while and this shift didn’t happen during happier than ever or even what was I made for tours. It has only started since this album came out - granted, it has only been a few days, but I’ve been watching reaction videos and interviews etc non stop since (it’s for a research project), and there’s a trend. What made it really clear was the interview with Zane Lowe. It’s just a bit strange to see people listen to the album and the comments are 80% about Finneas. Regardless of how much more Billie has been taking the lead for this album, all projects are hers first and Finneas second. So it doesn’t really hinge on whether Billie happens to be even more in control this time around or how recent the interviews have been that they may not have watched yet. It applies even if this had not been the case. To summarise, I was commenting on a trend in the shift of the way their dynamic is spoken about. Not about these reactors in particular. I thought their reaction was very enjoyable and considerate even with that part at the beginning.

WILDFLOWER, I think, is a song about Devon Carlson (a co-founder of wildflower cases) and Billie feeling regret and guilt over befriending her and helping her get though the breakup just to end up dating the man (jesse Rutherford) who broke her heart. Billie wonders if she crossed the line by having dated a friend’s ex. When Billie sees Devon in the back of her mind, it’s likely Devon taunting her for being in a relationship with her ex.
@clowneryluv59103 ай бұрын

I feel like "what was I made for" really was the song of the year. It made an impact on everyone who listened to it. Funny how Billie thought she was writing about Barbie, but later realized she was spilling her heart on the record. We can all understand the feeling of wondering what we are made for. "But someday I might" really hits hard, time heals everything, that gives the listener some hope that things will get better. The change in perspective at the end is the cherry on top: "Something I'm not, but something I can be... something I wait for.. something I'm made for". Only Billie can capture such feeling with her voice, she sounds so lost and devasted when she sings like that. No artist other artist can mic that.

You guys have always been a constant for me, its not often that I find girls in real life who feel like they are genuinely accepting - ik i dont know you guys in real life but you guys are just the kindest people and you guys make it seem like not everyone in the world sucks. And as a man who couldnt really find anyone to talk about taylor swift with in real life you guys really created a community that makes me feel like i wasnt judged or made fun of. When I heard What was I made for, for the first time. The first thing one of my friends said to me was “your a guy, you cant relate to this song” basically going on about how this song cant apply to me because for whatever reason she wants to gatekeep it for herself even though this song has a special place in my heart - she always said i was never “gay enough@. I immediately connected with it as someone who never really belonged and was constantly moving places where I never had the time to try belong somewhere, until I found you guys. You guys introduced me to music that i never thought I would listen to and now has been a part of my everyday life and in doing do you have taught me how to enjoy my own company more and I will forever be grateful. So hopefully i havent made this TOO long but even If you guys dont choose me its nice to let you guys know this if you are even reading this (its deeply superior that you guys are reacting to billie) have a good day!

The second part in blue really fucks me over. I can really relate to that feeling: I understand why you are the way you are, your upbringing and experiences made you. I don't hate you, but I can't change you. I had to say goodbye to childhood friendships because I couldn't change them and they just didn't want to evolve and connect in a deeper level. It's just sad when you see someone you love falling apart. You can try your best to save them, but you just can't make someone do something they don't want to do. In life nobody can save you but yourself. And seeing someone you love fall apart it's just too painful. So you just let go.

hey girlies! i would absolutely love love love to have the vinyl. omg it's so pretty, and also that song just changed the way i perceive my own girlhood and other women too. i now look at every woman i see and see the little girl they used to be and IT CRUSHES MY SOUL. p.s. i love you girlies too, I've been here since you reacted to folklore so it's incredible to see your growth over the past couple of years! sending all my loveeee

I would love to give the vinyl to my sister! She and her girlfriend LOVE Billie like no one else i have ever seen! I don't live with my sister anymore and I miss seeing her everyday so much! When Barbie came out I was home and we went to see it so many times in the cinema together and we were CONSTANTLY listening to what was i made for and having so many deep chats about girlhood and just how much we mean to one another. I hope she knows how much she means to me and how she is probably the most important person in my life and always will be. She has been through so much recently and I often feel bad that I can't always be at home to be with her. There is literally no one else more deserving of the vinyl. I just honestly love her so much. We both love watching your videos and i know she will be DYING that you guys have made a video on Billie's music!!!!! ❤❤

Hi Bonnie and Emily!!!!💙💙💙 I would love the What Was I Made For vinyl because I have a deep connection to the song. I am a teenage girl, and I am struggling to find my place in the world. When this song came out I related to it on a level I didn't even know was possible. Billie and Finneas composed this song so incredibly beautifully and it would be an honor to receive the vinyl. Thank you for being my comfort youtubers 🧡🧡

Growing up, music was my sanctuary. It was the one thing that helped me navigate the complexities of life, offering solace during tough times. Billie Eilish’s music, in particular, has been a guiding light. Her honest lyrics and haunting melodies have been a companion through my darkest moments and a celebration in my happiest ones. "What Was I Made For?" resonates deeply with me, capturing the essence of self-discovery and the struggles that come with it. Winning this vinyl would mean more than just owning a piece of music; it would be a reminder of my journey, a testament to the power of art in healing and understanding oneself. It would be a cherished symbol of resilience and the unspoken bond between an artist and her listener. This vinyl wouldn’t just sit on a shelf; it would be a constant source of inspiration and comfort, reminding me that even in the hardest times, there is beauty and hope to be found. Please consider my story as I genuinely feel that this piece of Billie’s art would find a loving and appreciative home with me.

After all the hard work y'all have put into the past month, somebody get Bonny to the club ASAP!!! I totally agree with your ending sentiment. I was shocked to even hear you guys say it was a 10 song album because it feels so dense! I'd love to see a reaction to Billie's music video whenever it comes out! I saw that Billie and Finneas's have an interview about this album with Apple but it's an hour long so idk if your schedule would allow for it but that could be fun to watch. The duo is so open with their creative process that it's always a delight to watch them discuss it. Thank you guys, as always, for the superior reactions and fathomings!

1:01:12 BLUE is actually a combination of two songs that they’ve previously made : “true blue” and “born blue”, so you’re so right that it gives Billie’s first EP vibes , since that part of the song was first made when she was 14
@blurafternoon3 ай бұрын
the first part of Blue is "True Blue", a song that she wrote and used to sing when she was 14. The second part is "Born Blue", song that was left out of Happier Than Ever.

“What Was I Made For?” Is one of my absolute fav song because it’s a deeply emotional song. The lyrics make you think about life’s purpose and identity, which many people can relate to (and me)✨.Billies voice is haunting and beautiful, and the simple music lets her emotions shine through. The song feels very personal and sincere, making it easy to connect with. When I first listened to this song I was amazed by how perfect it was😍. I dont have any of billies vinyl 😓so I would REALLYY apreciate it🫶🏻i deeply love that ur reaction to billies new album! U guys really helped me get into new genres of music. I cannot listen to a new album without watching ur reactions. U guys are really genuine and kind about ur opinions and I love that u can express that. Hello Chats & Reacts ❤❤ for the vinyl - my mom fell head over heels for What Was I Made For last year and it was so lovely to see. It was her most listened to Spotify song in 2023. We went to see the Barbie movie together and it was just such a core memory for us. She is such a wonderful woman, having raised 4 kids ❤ It would be amazing to win this for her. I could never thank my mom enough. I am engaged & getting married in 2025 and my mom has been the biggest help with the wedding. I feel like I could never repay her but winning something like this for her would be so cool ❤❤ I also just wanted to say that I LOVE your channel. I am a hard-core South African Swiftie and I listen to your reactions and videos as if you girls are my besties 😂 please never stop making these videos please you're both so amazing ❤❤

DO NOT BRING TOXICITY INTO THE COMMENTS! Be respectful to Em and Bonnie. Be grown-ups and like all types of music and artists. We all know that WOMEN are carrying the music industry and have been. You can have favorites and preferences, BUT Stan wars is DATED. I lived through the Christina vs Britney vs Pink Stan wars from the early 2000s and guess what? IT DOESN'T MATTER! 😂

idk if you've watched it but billie and finneas did an interview with zane lowe about the process of making the album and i think you'd really enjoy it!! she doesnt go too much into song meanings, and even touch on how they're very firm in "you should be thinking what this song means for you, not for me" but billie does explain some personal journeys and growth!!! but particularly in wildflower she talks about how it was written from a very one sided spiral of feelings and thoughts. also some great insights to lunch!! very cool interview

Wildflower is thought to be about Billie's past relationship with singer Jesse Rutherford. He was dating a woman named Devon Lee Carson for something like 7 years. They broke up. And then months later Billie started dating Jesse. That hurt Devon. So it was killing billie that she hurt devon..and she was questioning, "did I cross the line?" And "everytime you touched me, I just wonder how she felt." Billie's relationship with Jesse ended after about 6 or 7 months. And afterwards..Billie and Devon seemed to patch things up and there's pictures of them hanging out at a halloween costume party later that same year. Also..Devon is an inluencer and also is said to own a phone case company called.....Wildflower.
