That initial euphoria from alcohol is really pleasant. Unlike many other drugs, where that great feeling can be topped up, to a certain extent, once you try to chase that high with alcohol, the reverse happens and you just end up doing weird shit.

I'm grateful to COVID for stopping my alcohol habit. By February 2020 I would come to my neighborhood bar every day out of boredom and loneliness, socialize with a cute bartender and have 3, 4, 5 drinks. I was pretty close to becoming an alcoholic but thankfully I didn't and now I only have a drink couple times a year

I had depression before drinking, but drinking heavily made it much worse. I don't own a gun either and I was hospitalized because of how bad my depression was. It's been 18 days without booze and that's the longest time I've gone without drinking in many years. Working on myself and trying to remain hopeful. Thank you for the video.

I really like you're channel . A lot of of people don't realize that alcohol withdrawal is one of the most dangerous substances to withdrawal from because it can be fatal . As a persons that does not have problem with alcohol I could you see how alcohol can lead some people down a slippery slope if there not careful . This also aplies with other drugs like pot, lsd and shrooms .. I think that alcohol is one of hardest addiction to recovery from due to that fact that's it every where you go and can't escape it . People don't realize alcohol is a drug because its so normalized in our society . It would be nice if you made videos about you're experience with alcohol .

I messed up my brain with an illicit substance and now have permanent tremors, balance issues, and tinnitus. Don’t know how much longer I can deal with it

how you doing now?
@dreamworkd2 ай бұрын
@@jade_blazkowiczthe same once you mess your nervous system, unfortunately it’s usually permanent. But I’ve been doing therapy to try and accept what happened and my therapist said acceptance takes a while.

Hey bro, I've been drinking nightly for a few years because it's the only thing that finally stops depression and anhedonia , but i'm sure it's what makes me feel more dark the next day, until i can drink again after work. or later that night, then life is awesome even just at home watching videos or playing with hobbies. I'm not getting drunk, but good buzzed. Afraid if i cut it down or quit i'll end up stuck in the depression, i've quit for a month or so before but it's been awhile. i got low testosterone and some issues so i know drinking doesn't help but damn, you think it will help vs being a nightmare?

Have you ever drank or used cocaine after you decided to quit? I think that would be helpful for others to know. Deciding to make a change is always a big milestone in life and sometimes when we give in we feel like failures. Maybe if you did you talk about it and let others know that giving in doesnt mean you've failed.
