I was skeptical about shopping at Aldis but a friend of mine told me about how they had organic food on a budget there. Now I love it...I bought my reusable bags from ross for 99 cents. I stock up on the frozen fruits and veggies there. The orange chicken is soooooo good. Aww I miss those Ice creams we called them strawberry shortcakes. We live in Florida and our Aldi's is similar to yours. The biggest thing I love about Aldi's is its non GMO!!!! -Kayla

The thing I like best about Aldi is there return policy. ( If for any reason you are not 100% satisfied with any product, we will gladly replace the product AND refund your money. To receive the Double Guarantee, the product packaging and any unused product must be returned to your local ALDI Store Manager.) It allows me to try things without fear of wasting money.

Aldi is the typical grocery store experience in all of Europe. Glad you gave the tips as to what to expect. Aldi, LIDL and a few others that are out there usually have this style of cutting out many unneeded costs... especially the bags and prepaid carts. What I like the most about Aldis is the one time or short lived products that are dirt cheap.... My favourites are Indonesian or other exotic foods and sometimes you can get a citronella liquid cleaner cheaper than anywhere else! Thank you.

As an English person everything you described it as being a budget store is so weird! Most 'grocery' stores are like that over here (minus the not packing your shopping, no shops back your shopping for you but they do have space for you at the checkout apart from aldi) and Aldi is cheaper in England but it's not really considered a 'budget' store over here. Guess that shows how different we are as countries

Evil Pagan FYI.... America has always been highly customer service oriented, a world leader! in the olden days they hired high school kids that strictly worked for tips, a popular summer job!! today most grocery stores hire baggers to bag customer's groceries and also offer to help them out and place them in their cars if so desired. nice service especially for the elderly or disabled!! but bagging your own with your own bags to save money is aok!!! btw... that slave comment sounds rather illiterate!!

Trader Joe's and Aldi are owned by sister companies Aldi Nord and Aldi Sud. Aldi Nord owns Trader Joe's, which it acquired in 1979, and operates Aldi stores in Europe. Aldi Sud operates Aldi stores in the U.S. The first one opened in Iowa in 1976.
@michaelcouch90008 жыл бұрын
Z71Ranger They are split into Aldi Sud and Aldi Nord in Germany. The only thing the two stores have in common are the two brothers that started the company . Sorry , I thought it was known that Aldi is a german store ;) My point was that this is the only common link between Tj and Aldi :) Neither company shares a common warehouse or products. A friend of mine drives for Tj ;) I think Aldi Usa vs Aldi five years ago has made a tremendous leap imo. They have expanded the specialty line. I'm a huge fan of all of the changes and keeping the price so affordable. As a side note, Lidl is a geman store looking to expand in the states.

PLEASE READ.. VERY HELPFUL!!! hello.. I was just wandering through channel and came upon your video. I'm actually a store manager for an Aldi in in baltimore, md. thanks for being a loyal customer with our company. so I watched that you didn't like a few of our products. so I just wanted to tell you about our policy, because we never want our customer to waste their money.. ( even .99, a dollar is a dollar lol) anyways... so if you buy one of our products and the quality is not of your liking, bring the product back, we will refund your money AND replace that product for FREE!!!! isn't that awesome. it gets you to try more of our products. people are so used to that " name brand label" and most the time that's why products are so expensive, your paying for their name. so I hope this helps you. if you have any more questions you can find me on fb... and just ask away. I'd be more than happy to help you. have a wonderful day :)

As can be seen in a video I came across earlier in the evening Aldi manages to keep their overhead low, and therefor their prices by not having to hire cart fetchers, Baggers, and multiple stockers. It is by the lack of such extra overhead that we the customers can reap the benefit of lower prices on food which is in fact for the most part comparable to the name brand stuff and Aldi does also seem to be taking on more of an organic inventory than in the past. Many more items are free of G.M.O's and dyes and artificial gunk that we simply do not wish to feed our children! Does this mean less jobs out there? Yeah. Is that a shame? Yes. But in a declining economy which thanks to a-lot of small picture thinkers is only going to get worse over the next 4-8 years we definitely need to save money whenever and wherever possible as members of the 90% who don't have money coming out of every orifice, falling off every tree in our yard and somehow finding it's way into our bank accounts from a million different directions all at once :) At least with Aldi, we can now get foods which are not absolute garbage and yet not pay out of our ears for it :) Personally I find it sad that if I were to have the money to buy what my entire family wants to eat week in and week out it would cost me more per month to feed my family than to put a roof over their heads! Food is one of the things each and every one of us requires yet most grocers think that's a good reason to charge an arm and a leg for it! It's really too bad we couldn't get a forward thinker in office 2 weeks ago instead of this politically inexperienced billionaire tv personality who is already hurting children everywhere with his power hungry circus act of executive orders. Maybe our children all could have gone to College and enriched their brains and become capable of carrying on the human race through intelligence rather than being young dumb and filthy rich like some people would prefer. Maybe our prisons would not be so full of non violent offenders sucking up tax payers dollars to be housed cause they smoked a little pot (No I do not approve of pot) but I also dont think it should be a crime worthy of jail time. Maybe a fine which would help pay for fixing our broken infrastructure??? :) Oh Colorado's doing GREAT! But no The lying Criminal cheated Bernie only to go and get beat by a Hitler who wants to turn America into Nazi Germany. :( Anyway Chump is not the point here so yeah it's a good thing to have the ability to shop for food that is just as good without filing for bankruptcy lol.
@franzfred75117 жыл бұрын
at the moment the us economy has understood the german efficency and the aldi concept,..... millions and millions of americans will be unemployed... because half of the jobs in stores, call centers, shopping malls, gas stations, motels and so on, are totally useless... and the best of it... you dont have to pay for them anymore make america great again
@swanpride7 жыл бұрын
The prices aren't so low because Aldi skimps on the quality. It basically sells brand products without the brand (yeah, it sounds strange, but those brand producers actually make more money by selling a product with slight changes for cheap - sometimes even the identical product), it keeps the extra-costs low (for example the cooling area is usually built in a way that it is as efficient as possible, but there is also less personal around because the customer does his bagging himself and is also encouraged to bring the card back), it keeps the offer at a realistic level (meaning you have less products to choose from and it can happen that something you need is already sold out, but Aldi has to throw away way less as a result) and because it doesn't accept credit cards, it saves money there, too.

How different is grocery shopping around the world! =) I live in Italy and here in every grocery store you have to pay if you want a bag (so I like to bring mine), nobody fill your cart or your bag, you have to do it to yourself and in every store if you want a cart you have to insert a coin to "release" it. I think Aldi is very similar to a discount that we have in Europe (i don't know if there are any around you) called LIDL
@ShirleeAlicia8 жыл бұрын
+Raffaella LightPink No I've never heard LIDL. Crazy how things are different on around the world. :)
@vangrails8 жыл бұрын
+Raffaella LightPink Lidl and Aldi are two very similar German discount grocery store companies that have become really international. Lidl wants to start operating in the US too. Shopping in Europe is very basic compared to shopping in the US. Some US grocery stores have special employees who bag your stuff and in others the cashiers bag your stuff, I was really amazed when I first saw that, it made me almost feel uncomfortable. In European grocery stores the cashiers sit but in most US grocery stores (except Aldi) the cashiers stand the whole day. Travellling is fascinating because you see those differences, I always visit a grocery store in every country I visit. US company Walmart is also very international but it failed in Germany and it seems that it has given up on opening stores in continental Europe. They do however have shops in the UK.
@raffaellalightpink49018 жыл бұрын
+vangrails thank you for the info! I didn't know that in US cashiers stand the whole day in grocery shops, here in Italy it happens in every kind of store except grocery stores. I'm like you when travelling and I like to shop in grocery stores in every country I visit.

I live in the Boston area. Some of these items are great price. We have a very large local supermarkets in New England called Market Basket. There are similar prices for name brand items, no quarter needed for carriages, bags are free, and they bag your groceries. I was hoping Aldi's prices would beat Market Basket's prices. However, after three trips to Aldi, the price wasn't worth it. Too bad as I was hoping to jump on the Aldi bandwagon! Love your videos BTW!

I don't agree with that at all. I have a Market Basket in my town as well. They have a bigger selection but I end up spending twice as much there for the same amount.

Aldis is own by trader joes. I have been a shopper at Aldis for 18 years. I find it to be great. The people who work for them are nice and helpful.

Yep! I was in shock and picked up two! Eggs were 82 cents for a dozen. Haven't seen those kind of prices in a long time.

Don't forget! If you don't like something at Aldi you can take it back and they'll give you your money back and another item!

How was the chicken soup? I shop Aldi weekly and am not sure they have that kind, but I did not care for the other brand they have of it.

My Aldi is over an hour away. So I can't go very often. I now buy my face cream from Aldi. I get both the day moisturizer and the night time cream. Both are under $5.00. I was totally unaware of how Aldi worked on my first trip. Plus, I had my husband with me who is a total cynic. I was very overwhelmed. Giving the tip of what to expect is a great idea.

We love our Aldi!! We now have 3 here in Mytle Beach and #4 is coming soon. We are also getting a Lidl soon ! Ok so our favorite items are desinitely the Popcorn that you showed. We usually get about 6 bags of this.I love the 100 Cal. Greek Yogurts, when they have the flavors that I like. The fudge bars are really good too and they're only 110 calories.The Mango Peach salsa is really good too. The Fit&Active line has a lot of healthey choices for snacks. I like the 100 cookies packs and my husband loves the Protein meal bars. OH I almost forgot. They have great non-food stuff too. We picked up a Aldi knock-off of a Go-Pro and my husband is VERY happy with it, It was only $60. There were alot of good reviews on youtube on it so he thought he'd try it. Thanks again for all your vlogs! We love you!

I LOVE Aldi's frozen pizza! I'm unsure as to what kind of pizza you have in aldi in america but here in the UK its so good! they come in a big box with 3 premade pizza's in them. here in the uk its comparable to dr oetker's ristorante pesto pizza.

Love Aldi! So much cheaper than a regular store. You should do a price comparison with other stores so people will see the difference :)
