As a teacher with lots of bulletin board experience, you can paint the part of the bulletin board that you will use frequently. Eventually it will need a refresh, but it can look good for years. You can also cover it with fabric. Just staple it on. That said, I think your natural color cork wall looks good in the room. It gives an upper level place for the eye to rest. I know colors can look different online, but based on what I'm seeing, I can't get over how the color of the curtains ties together the orange in the print and the pink in the wallpaper. Wow! The meeting room is stunning.

I’d love to see more about how y’all decide to arrange furniture. For example, it seems to me like the table should be turned 90 degrees to fit the room better. But, I’d love to see how y’all decide these things so I’m better informed.

I'm guessing it is oriented in its current position so that all parties sitting at the table can easily see the TV. If it was rotated, the only place for the TV to go would be right in front of the window.

Also the position of the bookshelf seems weird. It could go in the corner or facing table on the wall adjacent to it. Currently it look out of place.

Agreed. IMO table should be turned so it’s parallel with cork wall and allows easy access to both sides upon entering room. Move the bench to under the window (creates additional seating for table and/or place to put bags, jackets, etc when needed). Slide bookshelf to where bench formerly was near the door. Move TV to corner where bookshelf was and use full motion tv mount so it can be positioned for optimal viewing angle. Anywho, love the color combo and patterns used.

I painted my kitchen in a gray color with blue tones. It looked really purple while wet but dried to the perfect gray. My mantra was to trust the process.

I'm honestly shocked how well just adding a chair rail and painting worked for hiding half the corkboard. When you said you were going to paint it I was like "Oh no that's not going to look right." But no! It looks great, and hides the cork so well!
