💀 I agree with you about the museums or bookstores thing, Lexi. When I go to the bookstore with people, I always feel rushed, but at a museum I like sharing the experience with people. (Going alone is good, too, but I don't think you can't really look at and absorb everything without having someone else's perspective.)

That tea is an exclusive to Books-a-Million, however it is made by Republic of Tea and it is called Blood Orange-Cranberry or something similar. It is one of my absolute favorite teas. Also, I'm obsessed with fountain pens.

The death by thousand paper cuts, I laughed so hard 😂😭 I’m not sure that I have a favorite painting, but as far as painters go I’ve always really liked Chaim Soutine. I’m not sure why, it all feels kind of vulnerable and “graphic” almost, but everything just feels makes me feel a particularly type of way. Fun video!

That is a beautiful sculpture to mention. But an artist that matters to me a lot is Harry Clarke, because it was through his work, to be more precise his illustration for Edgar Allan Poe's story Morella, that introduced me to my drawing style. His work is incredibly detailed filled with so many lines, and yeah the ones I have seen have been a little dark too. I have a rule about not owning multiple editions, because I want to feel that space with other stories that I am excited to read or reread. And yet I have a complete edition of Edgar Allan Poe's works and a smaller edition of a selection of his stories, and the reason why I won't let go of the second edition is because that one is the one with Harry Clarke's illustrations and it just had an impact on my life, and I don't want to let it go.

YES! I love Dickinson, and I am so excited for season 3. It is just a very unique show, and I love movies and shows based off true stories, especially when it comes to writers. And also, dark academia has nothing to do with settings. Not even a little bit when it comes to me. Academia exists outside of schools and universities. When I look into a dark academic piece of fiction, I want there to be actual academic themes, whether it be an academic passion or drive or the story itself surrounds something academical. And that does include passions for the arts, so a poet definitely fits the bill, as does actors obsessed with Shakespeare. I don't care about a school setting because that is not what I am here for, I'm here for the academia.

If We Were Villians is in a Conservatory. It's an Art college. They are accredited. If you haven't read The Secret History by Donna Tart yet, give it a shot. Her writing is gorgeous (I usually don't like her endings but the read is always worth it.) Also, check out the Artist Esher if you like interesting architecture

Omg you’re totally right! I knew they went to an art college but I flipped through to try to figure out why I initially thought it wasn’t accredited when I first read it. And I found a passage a few chapters in where Oliver was saying a lot of people don’t understand why students would pay so much to possibly get forcibly removed from a program that doesn’t even offer a traditional degree (page 23 of the hard cover US edition). I think I thought that meant their degree wasn’t accredited because Oliver said it wasn’t a traditional degree, but what he meant was that getting a theatre arts degree wasn’t tradition in comparison to like a business degree! I didn’t even put that together until I read your comment but you’re completely right!! Oops lol.

I would pay to follow a Magical Realism class online with you as a teacher omg. I didn't get to study literature even though it was my favorite thing in the world (my biggest regret, my parents told me I'd never make a career out of it, I believed them and ended up studying law and hating it). My goal in life is to find an opportunity to study Magical realism literature but I can't find any online outside a full degree :/
