I don't really have any blowout tips because I have crazy Medusa hair. I let my hair air dry. I have a side part so I let it dry with it parted on the opposite side so when it's all dry and I flip it to my part I get instant volume. ☺️

One question, at the end betwen "finally see all that hard work paying off" and "there you have it", your hair looks different. It's shinier after the video cut. What did you do between those two steps to bring the shine out. Thanks!

I use a rotating brush/dryer type styler as it’s so much easier, but you can’t beat a big round brush. Just had my hair cut so will give it another go, should be easier now! Great tutorial. x

I use to use those, but my hair is so thick that I ended up bending the bristles quickly on those types of dryers to the point where they no longer worked well. & for how expensive they are it was not worth it to keep repurchasing. What I do is get a heat resistant paddle brush (the kind meant for styling) & use my blow dryer with the concentration nozzle. Much cheaper as I only need to replace the brush every few weeks to every few months.

I just realized that I don't know how to blow-dry my hair and how difficult this is! For my 49th birthday (Aug 15th) my husband took me for the full works at the salon. Colour, cut (9" off)& an amazing BLOWOUT, 💅 and toes... Best gift ever right? But I have not been able to make it look like it did the day I walked out of that salon and it makes me so sad. So today, I decided to try again but, with your video because we are all going out for my husband's birthday dinner tonight. I haven't been this frustrated with myself in a long time. No fault of yours though (obviously) lol but, you are a great teacher so thank you for sharing this and explaining it so well. I just can't get the hang of this! I just don't understand. I am extremely creative and I'm proficient in many crafts, I can watch 1 video and learn how to make just about anything, (please don't take that as bragging, not my intentions), I'm ambidextrous even but for the life of me I can NOT blow-dry my own damn hair! Before I wrote this I even called the salon to see if they could fit me in just to style it! Unfortunately she couldn't so it's a good thing he loves me no matter how I look because my hair is a hot mess now. Thank goodness I didn't do my makeup first because my mascara would be down my face from all the tears 🥺 I think I better just go wet my hair again and start over and leave it like I usually do- boring 😆 lol

I know this is from two months ago but I’ve been working on this for a while it takes a lot of practice you’ll get it if you keep it up. It doesn’t mean that you’re not intelligent or wonderful in so many different things..It’s just hair. But I know when my hair looks good I feel better I know how you feel. Just don’t be hard on yourself it took forever for me to learn. The salon where I go she teaches me every time I go I watch her I don’t close my eyes anymore that’s how I learned

Awwwwww...you poor dear. Don't be discouraged. I consider myself to be pretty clever in doing tasks but blow drying takes a lot of practice and just to get to where I am today, it took me years. If you can see your whole head in mirrors, I think this helps. I practice when my hair is dirty. This way if I goof and do something amiss, it doesn't really matter. What I did was position my hair on the brush and move the dryer around it instead of moving the brush. It seems to help with dexterity. I'm ambidextrous too but predominantly right handed. There are a lot of things I need to do with my left. It's like a paradox. LOL!!! Sounds like you have a wonderful husband. Mine doesn't care how my hair looks either. Anyway, I really enjoy this pretty, young lady's videos too. When you get ready to blow out, just take your time. I watch tons of blow out videos. That helped. Don't fret, hon. Don't give up and in time it will all come very natural to you. XXXOOO GOD bless.

This is a very helpful tutorial, thank you! The only bit of (constructive) criticism I'd give is that you never clearly state that this is a Panasonic ad - the only way you can actually tell is the little "#ad" in the description box. It just always feels a sketchy to me when content creators put out ads that could pass as regular videos, without stating that they're ads. That being said, I do really appreciate the clear instructions on how to blowdry your own hair in this video (a lot of other videos are weirdly not that clear on all the steps).

My personal blow dry method: Blow dry rarely. When actually going to blow dry, air dry 80%, then blow dry alternating cool and warm temperatures always six inches away from hair, using gentle seamless comb or non-metal brush to avoid overheating/burning/ripping hair. Wouldn’t have naturally grown out my self-lightened hair to thigh-length if I regularly used the blow dryer and harsh brushes on wet hair. I completely avoid irons.
