I think your Linkin Park reactions are my favorite. Not only because Linkin Park is home to me but you watch someone in like real time feel everything for the first time ! You’re eating the chip dipped in salsa !!! This band is therapy to me .. like literal medicine. Chester’s passing has left a massive hole in my soul that won’t ever be repaired but I try and find peace knowing he’s happy and not suffering and he’s watching us today knowing we still rock out to him we make him proud everyday and we work hard to make sure our demons don’t get us ! Chester is my reason for staying alive ( I know that’s dark ) but I owe it to him to keep his legacy alive xo thank you Alex for this reaction ! You get it xo

Back when this album was first released, Linkin Park did the coolest thing with this video; in the official video you can see the pictures are of people in the video, but they had a website where you could sort of link your Facebook photos to the video and your pictures on FB would show up in the video in place of the pictures. It was really cool; I don't remember the website anymore or I'd link to it (I also don't know if it would work anymore anyway), but it was a really fascinating way to get their fans to be sort of a part of one of their videos. I've never seen anyone else do anything similar. I really think you should do a react to the whole Living Things album; as others have said, it's one of their more underrated albums but is one that has some absolutely AMAZING songs on it. Some of my favorite LP songs have been from that album. Truthfully I love just about everything LP ever did (they're one of the only bands where I can honestly say I like every single song I've heard; some more than others, true, but I still like everything), but Living Things has some of the best LP songs they've ever released. Between "Lost in the Echo", "Lies Greed Misery", "I'll Be Gone", "Castle of Glass", and "Powerless", not to mention the other songs on the album, it's an absolutely stunning album.

I'll be 68 in a couple of months, and I can never pick just one song of LP's that I can say is my favorite. Every time I try, I think "but wait, what about..." All I really know is that no matter what song I'm listening to, I often find myself crying. It's like no matter what the song is about, or what I'm going through at the moment, I feel the song and Chester's voice deep in my chest and it's filling it up and wanting to burst out. I can never come up with words that actually explain "why", all I can do is love it and cry.

@vasqaze8458 Жыл бұрын
The way I interpret this music video is is the people who hold the photos are spirits of the ones who've already passed away, remembering the ones they had to leave behind - hence the person from image looks bit different/older. They come out of hiding when the guy with pictures of thier loved ones shows up, and the song is sung from the perspective these spirits are making the promise to find peace after one last glance at their loved ones. Thats why the why crumble to dust in the end. The line "One last lie I can see through - this time I'll finally let you go." hits especially hard in this conext because the spirots were wandering restless until that point - 'living' a lie pretending to be at peace but thier bond would not let them part. To fuilfill that promise and move on is an amazing narrative from spirits end as the ones still alive will still be left with a fleeting yet everlasting memory of someone who has now ceased to exist in more than one way.

A Linkin Park react was the last thing I expected on your channel, but it's a damn welcome one! And it's nice to see a positive LP video too, given how it's cool to hate on LP online. I suggest listening to their album "A Thousand Suns" in order, from start to finish, no skipping tracks. People hated it when it first came out, but concept albums are meant to be heard in their entirety for their narrative, the tonal/thematic connection and the high-concept ideas. For me, ATS it was peak Linkin Park - moving on from their angsty days to a mature angst against the injustices of the world. My second recommendation would be to listen to Reanimation. I still don't know how they did it, but I consider it to be superior to their already superior Hybrid Theory. Some of the remixes completely flip the originals songs and somehow keep their DNA. I still cycle back to this and ATS everyone now and then, they're so, so good. In the mean time, here's a like. Keep up the great content, and thank you for making me hungry for tortillas.
